  • Used to work in a factory hog farm as a teen. Sometimes I have nightmares that I'm back...one of the most disgusting jobs I ever had, what the hell was I thinking, pressure washing farrowing crates after school while my friends were playing elsewhere, very odor intensive. Clothes and hair become one with the noxious fumes.

  • this is the worst conditions i have ever seen

  • omg that is disgusting. WHY? omg.

  • GLAD I AM A VEGETARIAN THIS IS SO SAD

  • @brenda1219621 I'm glad to and for you to! :)

  • not a peta, vegan or vegetarian and believe in animal experimentation when it's necessary, but these standards are horrendously poor. even though I disagree with 'the peta' a lot of the time, I'd shut that down as a health inspector. an industrial pressure washer is cheap and fast; load with cheap disinfectant = instant improvement. and the level of disease and unnecessary suffering there is unacceptable. that fridge is a joke. if nothing else, that place is a significant health hazard

  • it's terrible!!!!! do you know that pig is the most similar animal to human? they feel like us! I really don't understand it.. how those people can torture these animals..

  • I once hauled nice healthy Smithfield pigs but occasionaly picked up loads like these, they are in your peperoni and prison food.

  • Animals should never be treaten cruelly. Period. But you have to realize that if you eat meat or use animal products of any kind, an animal had to be raised and die for your use. Blame the rules that make it impossible for the small family farm to survive while the factory farm thrives.

  • This is bad, That producer is on thier last leg. The barn is in shambles, the pigs dont have tumors they have puss pockets that havent been drained or cared for, the sewage pit is overflowing, plus they have no security -obviously to let in people with cameras so who knows how many diseases they have. They might as well burn the whole place down. I grew up on a hog farm and saw it all. We kept the place so clean I could sleep in the same barn as the pigs-- burn it all down its terrible.

  • I love steak, bacon, chicken etc and will always have it as part of my diet and culture as a lot of people do but there are right ways and wrong ways to go about doing things. IMO

  • GO VEGAN!!! There is absolutely NO humane way to raise and slaughter animals. Anyone who eats meat is VERY sick!

Oh, and I am ashamed to say I am from Nebraska!

  • Exactly. And that really sad thing is that 99% of all animal products are raised in factory farm conditions. The other 1% are small family farms.

  • @Deborah7R There most definatly humane ways of raising animals and using animal products. Free range farming (done the old fashioned way, in an actual pasture), old fashioned milking of a cow while sitting on a stool, letting hens lay eggs naturally when no rooster is around, etc are all humane. Animals need LOTs of clean water, fresh air, GRASS (NOT an all corn/ hormone/ antibiotic) diet to be clean and healthy. Our farming standards SUCK!!!

  • sorry but this is the future of farming the big guys are passing laws and making the rules on animal housing used to be 50.00 bucks fur fence and a shed and buy a couple pigs now they wal mart princlple them raise thousands to make a couple bucks bet the profit for this hell on earth isn t 5 bucks a head

  • I will never spend a dime in Nebraska after seeing this. Off to find out if this place got shut down. What a disgrace to see how low the Human being can go. I eat meat, but for the love of life, what the hell is wrong with this farmer?????!

  • It's called MONEY, my friend. These people will do anything for it...

  • Now that us inhumane to do this to pigs or any other animal. this place should be shut down and the person not allowed to own animals period. Just because they are being raised for meat doesn't mean they have to be mistreated.

  • the only problem with your theory is that if all the factory farms did what you want the price for bacon would increase from $3.99 to $12.99 and supply would decrease.

  • nothing wrong with that- meat should be priced higher; it should be eaten only occassionaly

  • We need to send a message to congress that big corporations can't do this forever, and big corporate factory farms like this can't get away with this forever.

Support family farms and get your pork from these locations. Pork from pigs that have access to pasture, has a balanced diet, and is able to exibit natural behavior tastes far better then pork from filthy farms like these.

Just one word: Don't go to supermarkets that support them. Go to an organic farmer's market instead.

  • i can not imagine what human can let this be. how do they sleep? or eat!! no money is worth this, i am glad i have been vegan most my life!

  • 3:40 is just horrible, that poor piglet..

  • indeed:(

  • Man O Man! The awful conditions those pigs live in, all the muck and shit and what not which may be causing all those big cists and other kinds of growths on them. Yes this is just totally inhumane and unhealthy.

  • thats so sad.... and its even more sad that there are a lot of pig farms this bad all over Nebraska... A friend of mine used to build them and he told me how they kill the baby pigs that touch the ground. They just take the pigs and slam it against the ground as hard as they hard as they can until they die. : (

  • Is that right huh? Well it's is very inhumane as it is with the condition those poor animals live in let alone what you described the way they kill the piglets.

  • yea y right maybe get one as pet we all have to eat but for food i take no pride in it or make fun

  • i used to have a pig and my mom made me sell it and it completely crushed me =( i cried when i saw this

  • this isn`t crazy

  • Sad..! Industrial scale farming means this is what we eat... filth.

  • I'll never give up bacon. Keep on with the killing! More slaughter equals more meat! Yummy!

Nobody can resist pork grinds and bigmacs!!!

It's a neccesary sacrifice! Thanks for suffering so I can satisfiy my hunger!

  • You know, its kinda funny, you immature retard, the last laugh is on you.

The big macs you talk about. Well the 100% beef burger you think your eating is actually

100% de-fatted fat tissue! cow lips, intestines, organs, anuses, vaginas, sinus tracts, flaked and formed gristle and tendons, limp nodes, cyst sacks (like the lumps you saw on the video)

If theres any actual beef, the percentage is supposedly 5%

Its like the pigs are replying 2 u with a big 'eat my ass' from them all hahaha!!!

  • omgosh- i wish they could do more!! all those tumors, sores, hernias! cannilbalism, poor things. And death is not as swift as you would think/ or like. it is slow, painful and horrific!! Ever see that movie SEVEN--- the guy in bed room? well- thats how billions of pigs and cows live each year! many "for years!"

  • this is the work of a dumb farmer not of a regular farm we have to relaize in everything there are people that are going to do it poorly...

  • HELL ON EARTH

  • Isn't it just great being human.Lets pray we all die out and never return to destroy this planet.

  • "robhamtom" Pray for yourself. This is not destroying the planet, this is what it takes to keep millions of people alive.

  • So sad :(

I wish people were kinder to animals

  • I've seen a lot of these types of videos and this is one of the worst I've seen.

I guarantee every one of those misbegotten, disease ravaged, swollen distended stomach, tumor-laden creatures end up in the meat supply one way or another.

  • All I have to say is that I am a hog farmer from southwester Ont and this is not how we raise ourheard, hell NO, this farm should be burned to the fuckin ground, with the pigs out of corse

  • This is not a normal farm. I am a hog farmer and these animals are our income to live. Most farmers take great care of their pigs. This farmer should be ashamed of himself and have his ass kicked for protraying farmers in this way.

  • are those tumors on the pigs?

  • Wow. I cannot believe that Humans, who think ourselves smart and above other animals can do this... I mean, I've been aware that it isn't paradise for pigs in the human world, but not like this... This is insane.

  • Problem is, the cattle and chickens that you eat, as well as the pigs can have the beginnings of these sickeness' in their bodies, but the tumors aren't showing up yet....and you guys eat them. Aren't you glad you are meat eaters?

  • guys, these sorts of vids are so hard to see, and this should not happen. Great respect for those who still feel and see the wrong in this, the problem it is does not start and stop with becoming a vegetarian, we human beings must always make efforts to prevent this from happening in factory farms by getting involved politically in the issues, diseased or maimed animals should by law be put to sleep. there also must be pressure to make sure these laws are being executed.

  • honestly those pigs DON'T look healthy at all thank God i dont eat pork, sheeesh. how can they even kill them to eat looking soo unhealthy ? but the name of the game is "all for money".

  • There needs to be a whole shift in focus from "getting the most" to "being most aware". Those who want to get the most out of life as their goal, do not achieve it. Those who care about human and animal life and suffering live with greater satisfaction and help improve the world. Which side do YOU want to emphasize?

  • Great video. Keep up the good work and spread the word... end factory farming now!

  • there is a viable alternative to raise hogs in confinment, one farmer did hold the key. But when he was most vulnerable, they systamatically dismantled him and put him out of business. Hogs can live out their days in a happy and healthy enviroment. The problem is, how to you get people to understand the need for that alternative?

  • And I was thinkin of having a honey baked ham for Christmas? No thanks. Wh arent the baby pigs with their mother in some hay, why do they al have to be on metal. What farm is this?

  • halflifeunreal, it only took one drop of water to begin the creation of an ocean. It is people like US americans who have the power to do something to stop this sort of inhumane treatment of animals.

  • america is only one country what can they do to stop this. it seems like anything they can do to help will only be a small drop of water in a huge ocean.
