This is footage of the first start-up from this engine in the civic. Afterall it appears that the intake camshaft didn't match timing. There`s also footage of later runs where the engine runs good. Shall I post it?
well good way u can tell is because of the dohc vtec valve cover.. but comon now.. there are alot of cops out there that only know about american muscle.. they wont have a clue.
LOL not in southern california.. they will open up ur hood for any reason. if the transmission doesnt have a tag on it they will impound it.. they will scan ur doors, hood, trunk, motor. if you dont have receipts they will take ur car and CRUSH IT!!! dont beleive me? I live in southern cali.. they did it to my friend h22 eg..
yeah i understand. but why would you wanna destroy the motor that you put in...its already fast as is...vtec killer cams will destroy your motor pretty soon...i use to have a gsr motor with that cam...
obviously...if u racing product in your engine...sooner or later...your engine wont last...everyone knows that...i even own a h22a eg hatch before...i even ref/bar it. in my opinion, h22a in a civic hatch is already fast enough with some bolton...if ur ballin enough to afford another engine...then go for it.
True, but were talking about a simple cam change, for example taking my d16z6 and putting a bisimoto cam into it all im doing is allowing more air into the cylinder, im not increasing it by a ton, and if just because of a cam change your engine blows it was going to blow without the cam. I, myself have also run 13:1 compression on a d16z6 with p29's stock head and i ran it to 8k redline hit that redline every day and never blew up. Im just saying by associating a cam, with reliability is dumb.

I don't think they make any Vtec Killer cam for the H22s. So far, I haven't seen any but I can be mistaken though.
