Why's it so cheap? Because every time Apple comes out with a new "OS" its really just a patch. they charge 30 for what Microsoft puts out for free. I personally don't like Macs, but I want them to come out with a new OS, not a new patch for their 12YO OS, that way, it may actually be decent enough to use.
He is NOT qualified to compare Snow Leopard to Win7 cuz look at his youtube name, it AppleSoldier, he names features in Snow Leopard that are also there in Win7 and doesn't mention them for windows 7. Funny how when he was comparing how cluttered the Windows 7 control panel that just on the left side...was the default one which looks much more pretty. Of course if you love macs, that's all you cared about. The one that looks colored is an option for those who are use to the old style of control panel 10 years ago.
I have a xp disk, and an xp disc with cp3 integrated, both will install xp, but only one installs with sp3, you have a leopard install, with, basically a service pack, integrated.

Windows Allowing (as much as they can) things to still be in 32 bit, which one last, since Windows 7 full power requires 64 bit, and I've seen less 32 bit versions of things then I use to on the windows side, though I don't get what your malfunction is when it comes to seeing what's really going on.

Second, Windows XP is a completely Different OS then Windows 7, in how it ran. Also the simple fact that the file structure on the HDD format for NTFS, was completely upgraded with windows 7. Secondly, Wipe Drives are after Data back ups, so nothing lost, just some time. What's your point?
Oh yes, It's a Service Pack. They Just bundled an Old OS (leopard) with it. You also need the smaller size because they want to force you to back up every file, that takes A crap load of HDD space.

I can get a properly configured envy 17 3D for 2070. The 13 or 15" mac exceeds this figure quite easily and these Macs STILL don't include true HD (1900X????) - you need this for proper HD visuals or bluray I like how the fact that buying an envy gets you essentially a 3D Bluray capable TV and you justify the mac as more "efficient" in price to hardware ratio? Ok. A couple of clarifications you need.....The reason you have to "wok" (I'm probably mishearing it...ok, I'll say "gut") your hard drive if going from XP to Vista or 7, is because some things are radically different. Would it be possible to go from OS 9 to Snow Leopard effortlessly?
And the Media player...it's an accessory, no more a core part of Windows than iTunes is for Snow Leopard. But I agree with you that Media Player is terrible...I prefer...WINAMP!

If you're restarting your computer that much, I HIGHLY doubt it's your OS. My guess is that you have a virus, or there is a hardware issue. I have had Win 7 since it came out. I run a shitload of Adobe rendering programs on it, and tax it to the limit. I have yet to find the need to restart it, and I abuse the hell out of my RAM and CPU, and even lack a dedicated video card.

You are complaining about MS making people format to upgrade from XP to 7, but for OS X you brag about it like it's an amazing feature? You need to do some research on MS. Windows Defender has been around for a long time, that can be compared to Apple's A/V. Microsoft learned that selling A/V software isn't good, so they made it free, and it will always be.
7 has some upgrades. The superbar puts the Expose/Dock integration of 10.6 to shame and Aerosnap is downright useful....but you can get it for Mac too check out
That said I totally agree about control panel. The whole Finder/sysem preferences/non application based features are what puts Mac above PC imho.

And all WS Games can be ported via cider to MacOSX. because I have a computer company I have to work with Suse Linux Enterprise Server 11, Which is running on a 8 core MacPro with 32 Gb Of Ram.
On the rest of my Mac's I run OSX, and very rarely XP. This is only for the users at my company who don't want to adapt. And a HP Laptop with Windows XP and MacOSX

Microsoft has had a 64bit OS (XP) for nearly a decade. Both Vista and Windows 7 ship with 32bit and 64bit versions. Snow Leopard, on the other hand, is 64bit only. So 10s of thousands of 32bit users are SOL. Way to go Apple...

They included a crap ton of features in Vista that we DID NOT NEED like aero, windows defender, "gadgets" which are an obvious ripoff of OS X widgets and was all around a horrible OS. Vista was a copy of OS X Tiger and it fell flat on its fuckin face.
And I used to hate Mac.

Ok. A couple of clarifications you need.....The reason you have to "wok" (I'm probably mishearing it...ok, I'll say "gut") your hard drive if going from XP to Vista or 7, is because some things are radically different. Would it be possible to go from OS 9 to Snow Leopard effortlessly?
And the Media player...it's an accessory, no more a core part of Windows than iTunes is for Snow Leopard. But I agree with you that Media Player is terrible...I prefer...WINAMP!

Funny thing, I'm watching this on a Mac, and it's loading slowly and lagging lightly.
Maybe that's because I have 4 windows/17 tabs of internet open, several other programs that Windows DOES NOT HAVE, plus god-knows-how-many spaces with various programs (that Windows doesn't have), on a 3 year old Mac laptop that was $1000 when I bought it, and I haven't restarted in at least 3 days.
You know, just a thought.

If you're restarting your computer that much, I HIGHLY doubt it's your OS. My guess is that you have a virus, or there is a hardware issue. I have had Win 7 since it came out. I run a shitload of Adobe rendering programs on it, and tax it to the limit. I have yet to find the need to restart it, and I abuse the hell out of my RAM and CPU, and even lack a dedicated video card.
Honestly, if I were you I'd have your computer checked for a virus.

WMP vs iTunes, he had a problem with finding his video in a list, just use the the search box 20 pixels to the left. Not sure how he didn't notice it.

@halomast99 Yeah, you're right. His comments, especially at the end about 64 bit applications on Windows will be non-exisitent, is BS. Unless an application takes up 4GB or more of system memory, there's no need for an app to be written for 64 bit.
How about Final Cut Pro? Still 32 bit and desperately needs the ability to allocate more memory. The only apps that need this much RAM are VMs and productivity suits (CS5), and they're 64 bit.

7 has some upgrades. The superbar puts the Expose/Dock integration of 10.6 to shame and Aerosnap is downright useful....but you can get it for Mac too check out
That said I totally agree about control panel. The whole Finder/sysem preferences/non application based features are what puts Mac above PC imho.

And all WS Games can be ported via cider to MacOSX. because I have a computer company I have to work with Suse Linux Enterprise Server 11, Which is running on a 8 core MacPro with 32 Gb Of Ram.
On the rest of my Mac's I run OSX, and very rarely XP. This is only for the users at my company who don't want to adapt. And a HP Laptop with Windows XP and MacOSX

Microsoft has had a 64bit OS (XP) for nearly a decade. Both Vista and Windows 7 ship with 32bit and 64bit versions. Snow Leopard, on the other hand, is 64bit only. So 10s of thousands of 32bit users are SOL. Way to go Apple...

All your hardware are obsolete, low in manufacturing quality, insanely expensive, and low in performance by comparison to the Informed Consumer. Your MacPRO is just a overpriced commoner's Desktop.
