@marcsharp82 even though he turns out ok..thats later...no one knows that...so yes its logical to think that kirk has a time of greiving before he knows the truth. that said, eventhough most of us fans know the story by now..it is still among one of trek's saddest scenes, regardless of the fact that it kind of turns out ok. spock is never quite the same after this dont forget...at least not for a long time...like into & beyond the TNG.

Yes i know he came back I own all of trek TOS, along with all the original cast movies along with the new movie based on the original chars , though why the hell they made spock/uhura a thing I'll never know.

I love the voyage home, wrath of kahn is awesome spocks death though sad is epic and so heart breaking compared to kirks, kirks death sucked monkey balls!

I agree the undiscovered country is also a very good one, I haven't seen the 11th so i can't give my opinion.

@badvidhater ugh the spock/uhura thing is so stupid! heres a question to the spock/uhura fans: imagine this scene happening in the new universe, only replace kirk with uhura.

IT DOESN'T WORK! even the most basic of trekkies can grasp that!

i'm not saying that kirk and spock are in love, that's for others to decide, but honestly, if his "best friend" would react more strongly to his death than his lover, what kind of romance is that? there's no real bond between the new spock & uhura.

@KymeraGR7 only in fanfiction. it isnt canon fact. they're just friends...we see them try to share a meal in one of the last movies. big deal..any friend does that. sybok's power kind of threw them togetehr cuz sybok wanted spock..but even under that power scotty knew better than to be with uhura. he pushed her away remember? fanfics pick up but fanfics arent canon. sorry. K/S with a touch of uhura on the other hand...is. K/S is approved by gene/shatner/nimoy. s/u is also approved by them.

@badvidhater spock/uhura is based on canon fact by TOS hints. gene roddenberry had wanted them like that from the begining but the prejudices against black in those days didnt allow him to have a black witha white. it was "bad enough" that he had a black & a woman in a postion something other than a maid. roddenberry also aproved the K/S, creating the word 'thyla'..pretty much making both men bi. (hey we all know kirk wears mascara...A LOT! just watch any old show.) shatner/nimoy are ok with it2
