True felt is made from wool roving that has been bonded together with hot water, soap, pressure, etc. There are different ways to create felt. Craft felt in stores is made from synthetic materials. It's usually used for kids' crafts. It's stiff and colorful like felt, but it can't be manipulated like wool felt can be. I hope this helps.
@pinkyblackish She's one of the nicest people I've ever met, she is really nervous and usually never says um - give her a break, we're not all perfect in front of a camera. I'm sure you are though....umm....
@ryanh206 way to go to replying for commenting 2 years too late PLUS taking my comment in the complete wrong way. I was talking about the interviewer saying "mhmm" all the time after she tried to reply. No to the woman being interviewed. Great job making yourself look stupid :)
Quite alright! I had to laugh when I went back to read the pronunciation discussion regarding "mobile." Ironically, I am an English teacher. Have a good one!
oh and when are American's going to learn, if you are going to say 'mobile' and not 'cell phone' please say 'mobile' not 'MOBIL'....repeat after me....mo (like moh) bile (like by-l-)
hey ThreadBanger, i have a huge favor to ask of you. can you show me how to make a super hero mask out of a latex kind of material. just how would i get the measurements and things like that.
Less up close and strange angle shots of her and more showcasing her art. We hardly got to see any of the art she talked about. Also the interviewer needed to stfu! Do you hear Brokaw saying MmmmHmmm after every 3rd word? NO!
you should do a show on hand sewing. the group i sew with has no brains when it comes to hand sewing and i think they could gat alot from a good tutorial.
borrrrring. its cool and all but i don't realy care about her. if she showed us how to make it that would be a different story. this might just be a filler vid.
awesome! i have been trying to work w/ felt lately myself and its kinda easy not too hard to sew because it keeps its shape really nicely no pins needed really but idk i am still fighting the felt vs. fleecey material.
Is there anyway I could get a tutorial on a tottttally simple tote bag? I really need a new one, and my sewing skills are minimal and remedial. Please help :]
totes are super simple the way i make mine are by cutting a 2 26inch by 14 inch rectangles get one fold in half sew the sides leave the top do the same to the other then sew the tops together however u want then for the straps 2 4 inch by 14 inch rectangles fold them in and iron so u can sew easier. and vuala!
I collect odd toys and plushies. I love Giant Robot in SF. I wish I could buy more but I feel guilty spending $50 on another toy! Also felt is fun and so cheap!

:/ have to agree on the ads, there's way too much for such a short video and what does T Mobile have to do with diy anyway?
i understand the need for sponsorship, but still, it's annoying the hell out of me...

The red doll thing at 1:30 slightly looks racist to me. Kind of vaudeville Jim Crow... but I do love all the other stuff she made.
