Hoshi was never confimed as his las name, as far as the actual cannon goes, nobody knows what his last name is, and since he was adopted nobody ever will. We don't even know Gouken's last name, who technically is his "father". Hoshi was just used in the live movie because they thought that he just 'had' to have a last name, and if it were used in any cartoon shows or anything, it's just based off the movie, and not actually cannon. The game's story is what is cannon. Anyway, yes, SF4EVER!
