  • digging your art and music very much. have you/do you play in boston ever?

theres a few people including myslef who explore the outer reaches of the trumpet not to mention other instruments aswell. i didnt play for almost a year (after my son was born) but now im getting my chops back. you and some others have been very inspiring to me.

  • @WORMDIRTRECORDS

    thanks sean.

i played twice in boston (in 2004 and 2005) with mike bullock and vic rawlings.

i would surely like to play more there (and in the usa in general) but it is somehow difficult to program tours there because the flight is expensive and there is not many venues that pay a decent fee around.

anyway, it would be nice to meet and play together whenever i go play in boston again.

  • @mazenkerbaj Excellent live disc, Mazen. Don't have the studio work.

All the very best to you.

  • merci! i will look out for the music... "A" TRIO - is it for sale somewhere?

  • our old CD (2003) is out of print. but we are releasing a new one in april on our lebanese label al maslakh (al slaughterhouse). you can visit our website at triple_w[dot]almaslakh[dot]org (sorry for this silly address form but it seems youtube is forbidding links in the comment fields to avoid spam)

  • Looks great - sounds the best! Would like to learn more about the music.

  • @dirrksv: thanks fror the appreciation!

the music is an excerpt from a piece recorded by two lebanese trios:

    • THE SCRAMBLED EGGS (a punk avant-rock trio grouping charbel haber on guitar, tony elieh on bass and malek rizkallah on drums)

    • "A" TRIO (an acoustic improv trio of sharif sehnaoui on acoustic guitar, raed yassin on double-bass and myself on trumpet)

the musicians of the two groups played many times together in various groups, but this piece is from their first album as a double trio.
