that was a great tip about the wrapping up the pan handle with tin foil, I never knew that and I like when you share your memories about your family, it's like every dish you make has a history, it's nice.
Hi Laura! I just have a few questions; what can you do if your pan doesn't fit in your oven? How can you brown the top? And does it taste a lot like egg? And can you make it also for one person? How many eggs do you have to use then? Greets from Holland!
This is a dish my grandmother used to make at easter and called it "Spaghetti Pie" and it was an easter treat ,well thats what she used to tell us as kids...my aunt carried on the tradition but as she gets older we have all adapted the recipe to our own tastes and likes... we usually do not serve meat and have been known to mix up cheeses ... mozzarella, provolone, even have used basket cheese but we try to use that for the salami pie...does your family make salami pie? if so would love a video
I think It might turn out horrible. I think I added way to much milk and I put in other kind of cheese that is orange and white. Oh my god I am a terrible cook.
Laura io ti consiglio semplicemente di girare la "frittata" nella padella, senza passarla al forno, così viene meno "asciutta", mia mamma e mia nonna l'hanno sempre fatta così.. Gnam! :)
laura I LOVE it i never made it because my mom does not trust in the kitchen but it is to die for I can't find italian sausage and the cheese but I change it with chicken sausages and kraft cheese and I mix the spaghetti with chilli and tabasco sauce it so good and too bad I don't have japalenos sauce
@Purrrsuasive1 i am assuming that you do. Try to get the spaghetti sauce off as much as you can, then put the eggs in. The purpose of the eggs is to hold the whole spaghetti pizza together. Without the eggs, it will fall apart easily.
In Malta, we call this fro-ja (phonetically spelled). And we just add the eggs, loads of parmasean, parsley, salt and pepper. When cooked crispy on top, add more parmasean. My Mum adds feta cheese in it too. OMG! YUMMY!!!
extremely exciting. this will be my dish for this coming sunday, 1.23.11! Am really look forward to making this meal. My husband and I both love spaghetti meals, tomatoe or white sauce,. So this will be something I am truely looking forward to making! Thanks Laura!
Hey Laura. I just wanna say to you, not to give up on uploading videos like that. Even if you don't have many views or subscribers, it's not big deal, I mean it's just numbers, your videos count a lot for me, I try a lot of them and it turns out a success. I'm so grateful, you're the only one who cooks with fresh ingredients and do everything by yourself, not buying everything already made from the supermarket ! You're a chef, and your videos have the nicest quality !
@Asael090 you can use anything you like. I usually make this at the end of the week when i have bits and pieces of leftover lunch meats or cheeses in the fridge so that way i have a way of using up those leftover pieces that would otherwise go to waste. Feel free to use any leftover vegetables, meats even change the pasta if you want by using penne or something like that. Hope this helps! Thank you for watching! Laura :)
@LauraVitalesKitchen Hey Laura, this looks amazing, and then finally today i decided to make it, and i did everything right, but when i took it out of the Broiler, it all came apart): Do you have any idea why?
