It's not a comedy. It has funny lines every now and again but it's definetly not a comedy.

@TheLaughingKiller Every time it's been nominated for an award, both at the Golden Globes and at the Emmy's, it's been in the Comedy categories. So, apparently, it is. Comedies aren't just sitcoms and slapsticks anymore. There are a lot of comedies on right now, including Glee, that have a lot of content to them.

I mean, to be fair, he didn't go to a "normal" high school. He went to a performing arts high school, so all the kids were all ready in that sort of "glee club" state. He was competing with band geeks and artists, so not exactly stiff competition. But at an art school, the theater kids always reign supreme.
