Southern Sounds is awesome. That is my dad playing the mandolin. He is an amazing musician, pastor, friend and most of all dad. He loves his bandmates and enjoys playing with them. They are all great and Louis is a blast. I get the biggest kick out of him. They need to hurry up and put out a cd :) so I can show them off to my friends.
Dogge, Johnny did a version of it and a decent one, but was not the author (he wasn't born yet). In fact, there's a bit of controversy as to who did. I don't think anybody knows. I do know White Oak Mountain pretty well...I grew up in Danville which was also Jefferson Davis's last respite (the last capital of the Confederacy)...well that's what they told us anyway...
Great cover! You guys rock!!
