i'll give it to you that mn hs is at a much higher level than mi hs, and every other hs program in the nation for that matter, but i hate when i hear people say it's at a higher level than the chl. that's just totally ignorant; players in the chl have income coming in because of hockey, teams have ex-nhl players as coaches, and the draft is consistently filled with players from this league. that doesn't mean i don't think mn hs is great though. i love what you guys do in minny

@backyardtimes compared to ontario? its no OHL, but its a higher level than what your high school clubs are. About each team in the state has 1 or 2 players that go D1 schools ever year, and the good teams that make it to the state tournament have 4-5 players that will play D1

My son teams go to Duluth, Chicago, Wisconsin for tourneys all the time, we are from Canada, i think USA hockey is great, your refs are biasest, but still i think you guys have a great program, and Canada should be worried

@hockeyCK27 the only reason no one in minnesota plays AAA is because everyone is already at that level so its unneccesary to play for another team besides your school. AAA exists in other areas because you get hs teams with a few really good kids and a bunch of benders so the good kids play club to elevate their game and get noticed which won't happen on a bad hs team. They're essentially the same level AAA just groups the good guys together because other guys on the hs teams aren't as good.

99% of the good players play for their school. There are some clubs, but not many.

The REALLY good guys (like, first round NHL draft and on the Olympic team Players),

can go play for Shattuck-Saint Mary's in Faribault, Minnesota. They travel all over the U.S. to play against other teams. Sidney Crosby even came down from Canada to play for them
