  • i hear wu tang all over that beat

  • another dope beat. i'm feeling your vids..

  • very veryy nice

  • Wow, I wouldn't have caught that. I'm thoroughly inspired, props! I'm still a bit confused how you managed to do that though.

  • That shit was insane, very sick flip on a rod stewart song. so dope

  • How long does it take you to chop a beat in the ASR because of course you didn't chop it that fast in this video.

  • @Priestshooby well I do it the oldschool way and just sample different pieces one at a time. you can sample a whole part and then chop it after on the asr. my way doesn't take long. you can peep the more popular way (chopping the whole sample in the ASR) in a vid by Vinroc called "ASR 10 Tutorial"

  • you are a true representative of the TRADITION OF HIPHOP production

fuck ! that complexity shit muthufukas is yappin bout that shit is over rated

go listen to some fuckin PROG ROCK OR APHEX TWIN if you want super duper complex shit or better yet DRUM N BASS which the true evolution of hiphop production if muthufukas know anything WORD UP yo shit is dope DIRT KEEP IT COMIN "D" HOLLA

  • i'm convinced dirt .... you r TIGHT! i love watchin yer videos super inspiring

ive been makin beats (of all kinds not jus hiphop) for too many years to mention

i'm 42yr and i know beats and hiphop and you got skills and yes its all about the art of the EAR! fuck what so n so says bout this that an the the 3rd ,JEL is coo

i respect his talent but really that shit he does is as of now jus NOVELTY

i rather watch you find a record make a phat ass beat an enjoying yer self doin it

    than watch him

  • nsntime22

  • How in the hell did you chop it that fast? Or did you already have it chopped?

  • when i had my asr 10 i was killin it. the beats i made with that keyboard made me a legend in my neck of the woods

  • nice work son

  • i think i'm gonna have this one stuck in my head for awhile...

  • sooo nice man

  • Nice

  • What part of this track is wack Ox?!!

    My ears say "Banger!!!"

Listening to how you choped those samples on the ASR-10,I'd swear it was done on an MPC with the note on function on if I didn't see it with my own 4 eyes!

  • off the chains as usual..is that rod stewart? this beat is murderous..goonsteez ??

    Item # 320359326117

  • im a huge mpc fan,and i bought the asr 10 a while back, great effects and sounds, but it wasent for me,but still whoever uses it will rock

  • nice!

  • lmao

    wtf

    sick track`

  • dope beat homie

  • who the hell is jel?

  • some cat that catches wreck on the mpc

  • Not trying to diss but it doesn't seem too intricate to me. check out a jel video and then this will seem like cake

  • Your right, its not very intricate. I believe there are 10 samples from 1 song. As far as Jel, he is hella dope but he focuses on playing the mpc like a traditional instrument during a live set. I play the record I use and show you what I did with it. Jel is "performing" his beats with his fingers on the mpc live. Maybe I should do that on the ASR!?

  • @SouthOx No don't do that. Your beats are great, please don't turn into some obnoxious showy finger drummer.

  • Re: South Ox's comment about "It's all about the ear" See most young producers don't understand the powerful display these older machines give.. ASR, EPS, and the MPC 60 are reallythe pioneers of sampling. Some major known producers still use them today... DONT underestimate the machine!! Depending on the operator some platinum ass shit can be made! Just cause you spent G's doesn't mean your a platinum producer!

  • man i had to momment on this vid again...listening to the record at first, then the chops that you had... you have a good ear. it takes talent to flip it the way you did. that bass is flawless and the drums came out knockin. great track dude, i straight up rhyme to this ish every time i watch it ha ha!

  • thanks man! Its nice to see some one recognize that its all about the ear! Thats the most important thing! Not the equipment, its the love for making music that makes you hear stuff other people might not catch at first ya know?

  • THATS HEAT!

  • dope beat man keep it up!!!

  • play a bassline to it homie.

  • its a bass in the sample

  • well there is bassline in the beat, in fact that was my main focus when I started puttin the sequences together,I wanted to funk up the sample. I might fatten it up though, I didn't add anything to the beat, its just the chopped record, the drums are already in the the record, I am gonna add more though

  • nice machine. I love mine.

  • nice flip on the sample... that beat is crazy i hope we get to hear it after you layer it up and mix it down... keep doing your thing bro...

  • i like that piano roll that happens. what a groovy beat. good bass and piano. way to flip that sample dude. im feelin this big time. you, catacombkid and i are all alike i guess in that we are wannabe drummers "drumming" to the beats we hear. stay up

  • straight dopeness man. Haha i do the drum thing all the time
