i use to love going on that train from leeds

to harrogate back in the 90s. do the still run in leeds

Nah they've been withdrawn about 10 years ago. Most got exported (some to Iran), some got preserved (like this one). However 144's still run to Leeds, and they are similar! :-)

Yes, I think it's the first 141 they re-engined - there's a plaque on the side implying that.

just done my research - this 141 was the only 141 reengined with the cummins engine, because it was a prototype which they did not follow through.

Yeh, just about the whole fleet! When BR finished with the 141s they exported most of them to Iran, saved one for departmental use and a few got preserved - 141103/110/113 are the ones I know of in preservation. Thanks!
