yea season 8 is going to happen and in my opinon: 1)It shouldn't be lana free, it should show how the relationship between Clark and Lana offically ends and 2)It should finally show clark flying and using ice breath, but i heard he's suppose to fly b4 the season 7 ends and 3)Season 8 should be the last season even tho it hurts to let such a good show go, he has to go for his 12 year training to become the man of steel, i also think the very last episode is going to show clark as superman...
The movie? Smallville is not a prequel to the movies. Did Clark know Lex before he became Superman in the movies? Did he know Lois then for that matter? There are so many differences between Smallville and the Superman movies. Clark may very well become Superman without going through all those years of training in Smallville's climax.

Yeah, I hope he's still a good guy too. The newest trailer shows Lionel receiving a letter saying "Heed our warnings. The son of Krypton belongs to Veritas." Veritas might be forcing Lionel to temporarily turn on Clark. It would be stupid if he actually is evil again but it would make up for Lex's possible absence in Season 8.
I guess Veritas goes back to pre-JLA group Lionel, Swann and co. made. Maybe that guy who captures Clark is trying to restart it and is a bit of an extremist.
I think it's better that he's a bad guy. He killed Johnathan and he's always trying something with Lana, plus he was only good because Clark's soul was in him for a time and Jor-el possessed him. It makes sense that after playing nice to gather info on Clark, that he would betray Clark. Remember the episode Void in Season 5, Johnathan warned Clark about Lionel. It comes full circle.
Lionel didn't kill Jonathan. He had no idea Jonathan would freak out like that. He still is Jor-El's vessel, so that would make it very strange to have him turn bad again. Jonathan warned Clark about Lionel because he died without knowing whether if Lionel was going to keep Clark's powers secret or expose him.
Do you remember the episode? He wanted a reaction from Johnathan, look at how he presented his knowledge of Clark's secret. How is it that Johnathan dies and comes to a full understanding of Clark's destiny and yet, according to you, doesn't have an idea of Lionel's loyalties. It's not always on hiatus. They are following the same pattern they've been doing since the show aired. The only difference is that we have less episodes to work with, so they had to stretch out the hiatuses due to there only being 15 pre-strike eps. Now, that the strike is over, they are able to make news eps. We'll get 5 more eps starting April 17th. So we'll have 20 eps, twp short of the usual.

Yep. Lencho's probably right. I believe it's Patricia. From the back, her hair and look is very similar to Gina Holden, who is playing her.

She is Virgil Swann's daughter. Virgil was in season two, played by the late Chris Reeve. Gina(who also currently plays Dale Arden in Flash Gordon) is playing Patricia, his daughter.

why is smallville always on hiatus?!!! i just want to watch new episodes. and the writers strike is already over so wats the big deal!(at least i think its over, i thought i read about it being over somewhere)anyway i seriously cant wait!

It's not always on hiatus. They are following the same pattern they've been doing since the show aired. The only difference is that we have less episodes to work with, so they had to stretch out the hiatuses due to there only being 15 pre-strike eps. Now, that the strike is over, they are able to make news eps. We'll get 5 more eps starting April 17th. So we'll have 20 eps, twp short of the usual.

yeah i know ther not always on hiatus. it just bugs me that i hav to wait like 3 weeks sometimes. since thers only 20 eps then thers a possibility for another season right?

Well, from what I hear, this would've been the last season. And it was going to have 23 episodes since there would be a 2 hour finale. But, the strike kept that from happening and guaranteed and 8th season. Now I hear some of the execs still want to end the show. Tom was in talks to be Superman in the JLA film, but Al Gough kept that from happening. WB may still be after him. We'll just have to wait and see if there's an 8th season and if Tom's going to be Supes in JLA.

The music choice is always so important. The music in here is perfect, it really sets the dark tone. Hopefully the episodes live up to the awesome trailer.
