Obama didn't start talking about clean coal until after McCain forced him into it.
Obama's actual background shows that he's hostile to coal. Earlier this year he revealed his views to a group of reporters at the SF Chronicle:
"When I was asked earlier about the issue of coal, uh, you know, under my plan of a cap-and-trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket."
He promised to impose severe fines on coal plant emissions, effectively driving them out of business.

The problem in America as I see it, is that as a people we have lost our way. The election process isn't flawed, we are merely incapable of properly administering it. If you sit around shooting back and forth with people on YouTube as I have, you can't but notice the huge droves of seemingly mindless unthinking Americans who LOVE to bumble on about ideas and concepts they know absolutely nothing about.Americans are like tape recorders who spew back the cliches they've been programmed to believe.

I am very aware of group think (I was in a cult called AA) but attacking individuals by calling them mindless or unthinking, especially on youtube, because they repeat cliches is a bit like "tipping at windmills"

But what else can you call it if not mindless and unthinking? Maybe a better word would be ignorant, foolish, or irresponsible. Whatever you choose to call it, the fact remains. The American electorate is proving yet again that it is incapable of sound competent judgement. Just because the electorate has been dumbed down, does that mean I need to soften my criticism? I don't think you and I are on the same page yet, but I have a feeling 2009 might be the year you and many others catch up.

Obama doesn't want clean coal or nuclear since he will place massive restrictions and red tape around both ideas and claim it's the republicans fault. McCain has supported good alternate energy ideas for years upon years.
If America can develop clean coal then America wouldn't need solar wind or nuclear, but nuclear is the future and coal is the past and present.

John McCain is a strong individual. I know he has a lot of supporters. My family is made up of mostly Democrats but there are some Republicans. Two of my uncles have been strong Republicans for years and one also served in Vietnam. This year though will be the first year they will be voting Democrat and they will be voting for Barack Obama. Their choice was not because of John McCain and his stance on issues but rather his choice for Sarah Palin as his V.P.

OPEC will influence the elections keep the price of oil down until after the elections. Get ready for Pelosi to ban off shore drilling on Nov. 5 and for OPEC to raise the price of a barrel of oil. We need an all of the above action based plan to drill our reserves so as not to make another country do it for us at our expense. We could be creating great paying jobs & industry in an intelligent energy policy of more drilling, more solar, more geothermal,more natural gas, and yes coal and nuclear.

You should run this same ad in Indiana and Kentucky as we are both coal producing states as well with a lot of jobs dependent on coal. In fact Indiana coal is one of the best, cleanest burning coals.

You could have said "Obama says he wants to 'Spread the wealth'", Or better yet, you could have used the analogy "imagine if 10% of all kids went out on trick or treat and gathered candy, but they had to share their candy with the kids who didn't even get dressed.
