  • I am getting the Jackson Dinky Reverse with Floyd Rose and I know that Floyd Roses are the best thing to happen to the guitar.

  • Wammy Bar= Fail!!!!!!

  • man you recomend jackson dx10d? i will buy a guitar and i thinking in that guitar. srry for my english. thx.

  • @LeatherRebel93 I recommend it. It is unfortunately difficult to find though.

  • @conor1148 thanks for responding so quickly. and I saw some in some stores. regards

  • youre divebombs sucks!

  • Why is this neck upside-down, look at the sharktooth inlay's. Maybe they put in a lefthand gitar-neck?

  • @TurtleWaX020 Nope, it's a jackson DX10D. they were made like this way.

  • @TurtleWaX020 is called and inverted neck and headstock

  • vai estudar

  • @dragonforcelegend no its a very good thing

  • all of you guys are idiots.. its to show the tuning sustainability on the licensed floyd rose. i have read that its not very good and this video gave me a bit more understanding on the subject, exactly the vid i was looking for, thanks

  • well, now i gotta go get some aspirin for this migraine, thanks for wasting about 3 minutes of time watching this video, 30 seconds typing this comment, and then the 20 min trip to the pharmacy...

  • @conor1148 Doesn't matter. Your shirt is gay as fuck.

  • @conor1148 HAHA Preppy fag.

  • @conor1148 Your still a preppy fag...

  • i've got an Ibanez Edge and whenever i use the whammy it always go's outta tune

    somebody help plz

  • @666nothingleft is the floyd even to the body?

  • @skullysully1 what dya mean?

  • @666nothingleft is the part where the bar attaches to...even with the body? the part where the tuneing knobs and bar are attached to? the flat part?

  • What r u doing at 3:34? :D

  • lol terrible playing

but jackson guitars and licensed floyd rose bridges are good.

  • @conor1148 you got it mixed up. douchebag.

learn to play guitar, then talk shit. for now, youre a hollister faggot

  • IMPROVE YOU WHAMMY SKILL LA YOU CANT EVEN DO ARTIFICIAL HARMONIC WITH A FLOYD ROSE... YOU DIVE PICK AND U WHAMMY!!!!

  • lol cant even whammy man

  • 1:03 sounds like the emergency brodcast system beep

  • i got the same jackson and beat the f out of it like that mine does the same lol gotta love it

  • My Jackson FR doens't go out of tune because I stuck a fourth spring into it. and put some fatter strings on it.. However, the actual bar itself did actually snap earlier while I was doing some dimebag harmonic squeals, so I've had to buy a new one for £5.

  • Im pretty sure youre missing the point and starting an internet flame hollister battle...i should of just told you that you suck at guitar and you should make a whammy video proving you can do it.

  • @japimportssuck You were the one who came in here randomly ranting and not making sense. Not my fault you're an idiot.

    Cya

  • ok...to the replyer.... German Machined Stainless steel, Jackson is a forged alloy...you do the math....lemme rephrase my analogy. cheap steal, vs good steal pretty much the same things....the real floyd looks like it would outlast nuclear fallout a little better, but there the fuckin same thing.

  • @japimportssuck What are you even trying to say? All i see is way to many analogies and you contradicting yourself. First the German is the better, now they're both the same? What about Ibanez roses? do they get some terrible analogy too?

  • I have a million floyd rose guitars. Im willing to say the original german one has the best metal and machine work...but theyre almost all the same. Obviously jackson isnt going to produce things as finely as the germans! Think about it....ford mustang...porsche 911.

  • @japimportssuck nothing was ever said about which was better between the two.

and good job comparing a $30k car to a $60k car.

  • @japimportssuck Actually, I'm pretty sure the Jackson licensed floyds,

or at least the ones in their high end models are made by

    Schaller.

  • That is absolutely amazing!

    What strings are you using?

  • @boxtrap21 Thanks.

i believe they were ernie balls. don't remember, i've switched brands a few times since. Right now i use Thomastik-Infeld strings, and get much better tone, stability, and life out of my strings.

  • 1:04 - 1:20 = LONG ASS SUSTAIN!!

  • @epinky2295 thanks bro haha

  • Hi,

Since you have an audience of guitar tech minded peoples.. can anyone tell me what the standard screw thread is on most whammy bars..in particular for the Washburn Maverick. ?

I want to have a go at making myself a custom whammy bar from a nice strong bit of exotic wood.

    Cheers

  • @SONGSTICKS unfamiliar with that specific guitar, but most floyds either have a "pop-in" bar, like an ibanez or some strat tremolos. and the others actually have a bar that just has a collar around it tighten it in.

im pretty sure i have a bar with actual threads on it in my basement, but i'm about to go to bed and don't want to dig it out tonight :P

  • dude, i love my guitar, but the Jackson licensed floyd rose's suck! trust me, you cannot pull off any good whammy bar tricks with them. try to flutter, and you will fail miserably! try to pull off a smooth vibrato with it, you will fail miserably! after so much use, the bar unscrews itself and it bangs on the walls of the hole its in. just because it doesn't go out of tune doesn't mean its any good. And also, the intonation sucks. I hate that when you pull, the strings stretch at different rates

  • o broke my guitar

  • Awesome man but you got lucky. It's not that licensend Floyd sucks it's just they are made of cheaper of metal therefore most of them need some fixing or just simply can't stay in tune but chances are always 50% , 50% but they don't suck. But again you do find a lot that need fixing or don't work like a month ago I was going to buy a guitar with one but it didn't stay in tune

  • Try doing a huge bend on the B or G string... then check the tunning...

  • @TheMadMusicMan

you mean like i do most times i play? i'll make another video soon i suppose.

  • 1:04 that's how you break a string. haha

Anyways, thanks for the vid. Are Floyd Rose Original's better than the licensed?

  • @MitchRulzWorld no, official roses are typically better. unless you are talking about ibanez floyd roses, ibanez have a few that rival/on par with an official one. but as far as the "cheapo" roses go, jackson has one of the best.

  • @conor1148 charvel and kramer gots the best floyd roses

  • i just hate my jackson floyd. it always goes out of tune

  • @tonmereestgross sounds like someone cant set up a guitar.

  • @tonmereestgross just be sure to titen up ur nuts when you're perfectly in tune, fine tune it, play with the floyd rose to stretch the strings, and keep fine tuning it. I do tons of warbles and deep ass dives, and my floyd dont cum out.

  • @ac23AQ i titen ma nuts as hard as i can

  • @tonmereestgross u can strip the nuts that way

  • do you set your guitar up yourself or is it done professionally ?

because a good set up accounts for 60% of a Floyd's tuning stability!

a lot of peps tend to forget that !

    ; )

  • @rockhead61 i did it myself.

  • what type of guitar do u have there and what is the weight like

  • what guitar is this?

  • OMG my fken EARS!!! jk

  • When I bend a string, it send the bar going down a little bit, slightly throwing the other strings out of pitch. What the heck is wrong? It's the same trem.

  • @bucabrandon its just physics, bro. nothing is wrong with your floyd.

  • i guess thats what floyds and locking gear are made for, no surprise. i had an ibanez with a floyd and it would not go out of tune at all, it was 11 years old old as fuck, still no going out of tune

  • That's...great sustain.

  • @bucabrandon: thats just a little trick i learned with the floyd and a harmonic :P

  • i have a jackson RR and i cant play it cause the floyd rose is a bullshit and it get out of tune everytime ........ you're lucky man xd

  • He has it set up 100% correctly dumb cums.

  • Who let you talk?

  • Lol dude, I was just getting back at everyone talking crap about the video.

  • Oh. Cool. I have noticed that when ever i set my FR 100% right, and the bridge is leveled, it stays in tune for longer.

  • thats the dx10d isnt it, i have the same guitar (older model, 2005) in trans blue, can you tell me what strings you use and how you replace your strings, basically what YOU do, because mine is pretty tricky.

  • omg 1:03 to 1:19 is sooooooooooo annoying

  • Ah man, I'm getting a floyd either in 2 days or tomorrow.

    It's the jackson dinky performer.

Did you try to play some buckethead in there?

  • its a floyd rose its not supposed to go out of tune if you set it up right if it goes out of tune stretch the strings out if you stretch the strings out good and it goes out of tune make sure you have all ur stuff set up and locked right if all of it is right send the floyd back becuz its probably a production flaw

  • jackson liscenced are great. its just the £30 replicas from ebay get flatspots on the knife edges and go out of tune like a bitch. nice jackson thoug

  • no proper setup floyd rose will go out of tune.

  • Moron

  • Thanks, bro.

  • i want to buy a jackson DK2S ...

but i'm not sure with its tremolo...

  • I need to replace my jackson floyd with an OFR. Can I just order one off ebay if I don't wanna replace my locking nut? I don't know the nut size and stuff on my jackson..

  • I've had a Dk2m for a year now with the Jackson JT-580LP... Except for one time when i didn't make one of the locking nut screws tight enough, it has NEVER jumped out of tune of really brutal whammying... NEVER! Solid as a f*cking moutain. (This is why i'm VEEEERY curious about a real OFR... ;) )

  • frakenstrat, make sure the tuning locks at the top are tightened

  • i was just looking at this vid again and found ur comment sry but u didnt reply to me or i didnt get it and im replying to you and saying that that was a while ago and i now know so much more about the floyds and edge tremelos and saying that when i whammyd the strings bent i mean like BENT like overlapped each other whoever set that trem up overtightened it SO MUCH

  • that being said i have and OFR pro, a Jackson JT-6, Jackson JT-500, and JT-590. and have used the JT-580LP as well. had zero problems with any of them...

  • i was testing out a guitar with a floyd and it went out of tune easily wuts wrong with it

  • yeah people dont understand theres like 6 or 7 different makes of LFR that jackson has made over the years... some suck really bad, some are excellent. to be honest theres some many variables with a fulcrum tremelo most people with tuning problems that blame the licensed ones usually dont properly set it up. one hitch in any variable will make it impossible to keep in tune. this is not the LFR's fault but the person who "set it up"...

  • I totally agree with u that not all LFRs suck. I recently bought a Jackson DXMG with a LFR that hasn't gone out of tune since i changed the strings 2 weeks ago. Nice guitar btw

  • mine goes out of tune right away

  • is it a jackson LFR? if so, the springs may need to be broken in. did you stretch your strings?

  • can you show if the FR is a jackson, it may be an original FR

and if its jackson i think the FR go out of tune doing that a lot of times

  • it's licensed, ive never owned a OFR.

im not going to post another video to prove it's licensed, but if you look up "jackson dx10d" which is the same model as mine, it's licensed. i can put pictures of it in the description if needed, but making another video would be a waste of time.

  • That's a pretty sexy Dinky.

I play a Kelly, I don't really like Dinkys or other superstrats so much but yours looks really sweet.

  • thanks man.

  • not bad for not trying to play hardly at all.

  • ive got the same thing on ym kvx10 but do you know where to get a replacement an entire tremolo ive screwed mine

  • this pisses me off because i have an original floyd rose that goes out of tune instantly.

  • is the company that made the ofr schaller? the good originals are made in germany...or so i've heard...

  • i have the DX10D, i believe its discontinued in about 2005?

it pretty much was their mid/low guitar, but plays pretty sweet considering you can pick one up for $200 or so used now (i got mine for $300 two years ago) one thing, the pickups are WAY too bright, so either replace them or get an EQ pedal.

  • Have you tried picking the g and b strings to do your dive bombs? I like the sound it makes.

  • i have a little, i really dont dive bomb at all (its sorta obvious, haha) i just made this video to see if i could make it go out of tune. but if i ever get bored ill try it.

No matter how much i made it sound like a retarded dinosaur, it stayed in tune.

  • hahaha a retarded dinosaur good call
