Mi argumentación: El fraseo que usa la Caballe es mucho más efectivo que la de Gheorghiu que lo considero más áspero.El fiato es envidiable en la Caballe te hace frases sin respirar con dinamicas fortes pianos etc que la Gheorghiu no consigue(bueno salvo los fortes que son más fáciles)La mezza di voce en Caballe es perfecta ya que para consseguir esto estudio más de4 años solamente respiración de ahí a su enorme fiato!!!es meritorio y en la Gheorghiu esto no se percibe.Por tanto es más completa.

Quien hace comparaciones a de ser un ignorante en estos aspectos....La Gheorghiu por ejemplo me ocurre que la encuentro limitada en muchos momentos cosa que con la Caballe no ocurre (no comparo, defiendo) la Gheorghiu es sumamente más joven y por consiguiente le queda que aprender, además Caballe y Gheorghiu vivieron en epocas diferentes y esto influye en el estilo muchísimo. La epoca de Caballe era más fructífera que hoy día para un cantante y si sigo con la defensa hacia la Caballe argumento:

De paso, las comparaciones son odiosas y no tienen sentido en este arte ( mi opinion) pero si vamos a comparar, busquemos pares, Callas, Tebaldi, etc.

Realmente en que crees que es verdaderamente mejor la Gheorghiu. ¿Calidad de voz, tecnica, musicalidad.........? O simplemente es que te gusta mas.Porque te puede gustar mas el rosa que el verde y eso no lo hace mejor.

Acabo de escuchar la versión de la Georghiu que hay en youtube, dejando aparte, que es una filmación de estudio, promocional de un disco y por tanto está retocada. Sigo sin comprender que te hace afirmar que está mejor la una que la otra, si dejamos la cuestión física. Por cierto a mi me ha gustado la Georghiu.

No puedo entender cómo hay gente que dice que la Caballé es mala actriz. Transmite tantísimas emociones con sus gestos faciales, sus poses, sus manos, y ya ni mencionar su voz, que transmite un universo entero. Aquí, sin necesidad de un decorado, ni la caracterización de Manon, sólo ella con sus músicos y su atril, lo que transmite! VIVA LA CABALLÉ!!

Our singers today have lost a sense of individuality; they're being churned out to be good technicians but lack connection to the material. I am still waiting for a singer who can fill an opera house with such big, theatrical singing as Caballe. Also, singers taking on the wrong roles for their voice is not helping either. Lots of respectable and respectful singers out there, but few that elicit awe.

Not exactly rubbish.. I think most genuinely think they are doing hte right thing, but too many have gotten where they are through politics and not ability to teach. Also, the commercial sexualization of opera has brought it further away from what made it great with singers like Caballe and Bjorling- the voice. I mean, hello???
