I've never seen lensman before, but I can't help but feel I've seen this movie at least twice before. *cough cough Star wars...cough cough Titan A.E.* Yeah, I know Titan came later and the book this was based off came before star wars..

@Metaphysicist You know, I figured, I saw the Streamline version of this and then learned about the Lensman series online. And once I found out that Kimball Kinnison was supposed to be blonde and blue-eyed, I thought - "Well, the guy that Kim gets the Lens from in the movie fits the build pretty nice."

I love how DETAILED and AUTHENTIC Japanese Anime Sci-Fi is. The past 4 or 5 years I have been completely disappointed with every 2 hour junk of shit that Hollywood has been turning out. Nothing on the Calibre of 2001, or ALIEN (1979) or The Matrix. Nothing like AKIRA or something like this. I have a vision for a great sci-fi movie, something INTELLIGENT, something INTERESTING... but I wont ever have the budget to make it.

In the American version, when Ken is pleading with his father not to go. His father punches him in the stomach to save him.

Didn't think it was true, but I watched that part of the american version, and he actually punches him in the stomach xD His name is Kim btw, not Ken :P

@Kovu12 this is american too. This is the Harmony Gold cut. Manga video later put up the streamline version which was complete and had the original Japanese music in it. The streamline version was much much, better.
