94 Impala SS 383 LT4 with Procharger

I have a 94 caprice with a 350 is it possible to rebuild with LT4 heads and bigger cam and manifold to achieve the same power then add a procharger or can I use twin turbos I just got off of eBay?

@1Megatron21 Don't worry with the LT4 stuff. Call Advanced Induction for a setup that will cost less and make more power than LT4 heads. Use the stock LT1 intake and just have Advanced Induction port it. Sell the turbos you got off eBay.

sounds great...but I always thought they had the digital clusters in the '94 to '95 and then in '96 they switched over to the analog? my parents had a '95 LT1 SS

@corvettels9 Wow, good eye. You are correct. Many 94 and 95 owners switch the digital cluster out and replace it with the 94 or 95 Camaro Z28 clusters. The digital odometers in the impala clusters give some problems. Plus the digital speedometer can be difficult to read when the sun is shining through the driver's window. The addition of the tachometer is also nice.

@6digitz Yeah. I knew it had to be from a Camaro too, because the speedo on the '96 cluster goes up to 160--the Camaro speedo goes to 150. As a kid I thought it was the coolest thing in the world, that digital speedometer. As far as the sun shining, I can see how that would be a problem, especially now as a driver. I loved that car--bawled my eyes out when my parents sold it. It was roomy, fast, and I remember the horn was doing much for my dad, so he put air horns in.

@6digitz yeah that instrument cluster setup is nice, they sell it on street trends too, wish i could put it in the 96 i dont like how small the original guages are and the odometer in mine went out also but all the kits say for 94 and 95 only. only diff is that the original 96 is a 160 speedo and the z's speedo is ONLY 150 lol

@kevincarbajalrivas that is incorrect. the 91-93 caprice also had a digital cluster with the 9c1 package the NON 9C1 Package did not have digital so you are correct there, 94 was the only year for Lt1 with digital cluster and mirrors on the door.

@The87cutlass Yes, the dash was originally digital. I removed it because it was hard to read when the sun was shining in through the driver's window. The dash that is in it now is actually out of a '94 Camaro Z28.

Any wheel larger than 20" is too big for these cars. My wheels are 18's

@bergaflickal It's a 4L60E. You need to talk to google CPT 4L60E From the factory, these transmissions don't have the best record as far as reliability but they hold up just fine when built correctly and no one does it better than CPT.

@bigboy5998 the transmission has been upgraded. the torque converter was also swapped out and the rear differential and gearset were upgraded.

@tianaru47 Sure. They say don't go over 8psi intercooled or 6 psi non-intercooled if you are running stock LT1 pistons. I was running this supercharger on the stock engine before the 383 was installed.
