  • meh.. prepackaged food. i am disappoint :(

  • i like how he leaves the spoon on the ground

  • I like self heating but the cost tends to be high. My favorite is FamilyHunger. com because it's so simple and still affordable and If you really do it a lot it makes a good business idea too.

  • actually, its not really steam. next time you make one of these try to light the "steam" with a lighter. it will light cuse its mainly hydrogen.

  • that smell is the actually the food rations were never very nice tasting meals but it gives you the right nutrition to keep you going

  • You'd assume it would open, because if not, it would explode :O!

  • Where in the directions does it say to keep prodding and poking it like that all the while?

  • @OregonVet wow, I would strongly advise that if you have neither constructive nor intelligent things to say, be quiet. Just because you assume that you are not facing an ego at the other end of your witty and popular barbs does not mean that you are scoring validation points with the rest of us on youtube. Yes I'm venting a little but this kind of thing should be reserved for comments left for ghetto fights ETC....

  • Forgive me for being such a barb. I was highly interested in the topic but put off by the ridiculously long and uninspiring documentary of a seemingly capable man camping in his garden with a camera pointed at his crotch.

  • great videos, shame about the fact the meal has so much waste packaging

  • You can make your own MRE style meals with a dehydrator and a vacuum sealer...all you need is to heat water and viola.

  • you can even buy the heater bags on ebay and make yourself a real mre...

  • for 5 bucks it isnt that bad

    and it looks good

  • yak

  • just wonderin mate, how much food is in the bag? Would it fill you up or is it half a plate full?

  • Where did you set up camp, City Park? Just taking the piss, mate. Wish I had this instead of the early MRE when even the ketchup was dehydrated.

  • Its actually my garden! It wasn't a proper camp, I bought a brand new tent so thought I would set it up, whilst I was there I thought I'd do this video. Yes there is a park and road nearby :p

  • lol I knew you had set up camp in your garden because of the part when you talked about not burning the grass with the bag...the only time when people care about if the grass gets damaged is if its in their own gardens.

  • @lrmis11111 The MREs and dehydrated meals are to completly different items.

  • shoulda got some of those...just came back from camping up in West Sussex Downs...8 mile walk to camp site and all we had for dinner, was some Instant Minestrone Soup.

  • You might want to check out my website, Google NaturalBushcraft soon I'll be doing some reviews on easy boil in the bag meals, but these are real quality, from a company called "Look what we found".

  • awesome, i'll give it a look.

  • @ashcaw , oh yes - I know those.. use them at home for easy low-point dinners.

  • nice video but where are u camping where we can hear cars in the back ground?

  • i just bought some of these for my camping trip hope there good

  • self heat curry & self coolin beer ftw

  • thats pretty handy thing to have

  • By the way there's no need to shake the bag like I did in the video :p

  • Interesting thanx

  • or if your on the move you could put it inside your jacket over your heart to keep you core tempreture up on a cold day
