I do not underestimate old games. Link to the past is older than OOT, it is even better; OOT mirrors and copies its story structure a lot. OOT is a great game, just for playing about 10 times, then it gets repetitive. Majora's mask is a challenge!

I don't know for you guys, but i think the duet is so epic partly because (at least for me) it gives the ''lets celebrate this awesome series'' feeling (the other part is simply because it's at least as good as any other zelda song), since link AND zelda are singing/playing it at the same time as the Lokomos, which are comparable to the oracles, sages, and to some extent the 4 giants from majora mask.

No, it's the actual opening. Although my fav. theme is at the very end (Defending Zelda, the Final Battle and End Credits), this is actually the very opening of the game, AKA Title Screen.
