  • man that cummins sounds tuff, but i just love the way that old w model is presented, really good to see, dont ever sell it cause i promise you that you will cry when you put your foot down on one of these new egr cummins...

  • It has to much power for its own good, lol I love the kta19 engines

  • Looks and sounds absoultey incredible

  • how much hp does that truck have?

  • not sure - it's never been on a dyno

  • hey, can someone tell me just how much weight they are pulling?

  • the sled weighs around 40,000 pounds.

  • The smaller more effecient, elctronic motor comment is not perfectly true. The motor that makes 900hp is under less load almost all of the time while the smaller electric motors are strugling almost all the time. If your making boost your burning fuel. Although the parts are uh well outrageous, b-model cat or well just about any mechanical motor. Even the early E-models. Check out Pittsburg Power turn a 550 into 850 easy.

  • I see your point, but a motor juiced up to 900hp often still has internals designed for 500-600hp, or a 550 turned up to 850. To make noticeably more power with a diesel you must have more fuel. This translates to more stress on the often still stock parts, premature failure, and higher fuel bills. To someone trying to feed a family, the extra parts and fuel bills just to be able to pass everyone on a hill (when it isn't broke!) is a bad idea...

  • 850 is too much fuel... If you wanna melt your pistons while climbing jackass mountain or some damn hill be my guest.

  • that sounds great

  • With propper tuning and airflow would a kta600 still be a good on-road motor today?

  • In my opinion, not if you want to earn a living. Parts are expensive and there are much more efficient electronic engines out there. (N14, ISX, etc.) It would pass anything but a diesel station, but I think you would be hard pressed to turn a profit.

  • A K can get just as good of mileage as an NTC series, N14, and ISX. There is an article on diesel injections website that tells about a guy in TX with a KTTA-HVT @ +1000hp that gets around 5.5mpg...the same as the 450 hp ISX I drive . It has more to do with the gearing(trans and diff) and how well disciplined the driver is. If it was left at stock specs, i wouldn't be suprised to see 6.5+ mpg, with the right gearing, out of a K. But, who can afford one?

  • I just looked, over $30,000 for a rebuilt KTTA. An NTA 855 is 16 for a NEW one SHEESH!!!!! I really need to hit a big lottery!!!!

  • thats one good looking rig

  • No such thing.

  • Heh, @ PHOOBEAR22

No such as thing as too much power and torque ;D

  • love the sound more vids please

  • was this with the pennsylvania possie

  • No, this truck didn't run with the Pennsylvania Posse

  • gotta love the old cummins

  • too much power,and torque
