Ms. Pac beats Pac Man in all departments, and I'm not talking only about 'NES' incarnations. Check out the video for 'Ms. Pac Man EX'. It's an example of how a home brewed game can be better than most of official Pac Man games. It only takes 'Ms. Pac' in the title, I guess.

This is where Nintendo Shines! The 2600 was open source, which means anybody with the 6502 assembely tools could develop for the 2600. Nintendo however, only gave the tools to qualified developers, only 5 games a year, the 10NES lockout chip and STRICT quality control. THAT'S thyeir success method!

This game was originally made as a hack by employees at a computer company. They showed it to Midwy, and Midway released the game, and yet the game is owned by Namco. Pretty weird, huh?

This conversion was a total mess. Indeed, Tengen's rather loose adaptation was a better game. There's even an upcoming ColecoVision port that's (much, much) better than this.

Tengen was WAAAAYYYYY better! Atari 7800 is better. Atari 5200 is better. Even the 2600 version is preferrable to this. And of course, the arcade version is on an uncountable number of ports so who can beat that?
