  • Ok I must have missed something because I didn't see anything being born

  • Thanks for posting the video so we can watch it over and over again and I think hope is like what going on here

  • thank you for posting this. I missed the real thing but this is just as good...really better because I can watch it over an over. So glad Hope is being a sweet big sister.

  • wow ...this study is becoming quite a revealing enterprise ...so much potential for study

    thanks for sharing

  • If I am right about times while I was watching Lily and Hope on BBC Lily was giving birth to the next generation of study bears. Just wonderful. I wonder how the bear hunter is feeling if he is watching these events? Smile all over his face....

  • i think Lilly will have enough milk. the more the cubs nurse, the more milk lilly will make, dependant on her own food supply that is. so i'll bet Lilly will have to get out and find food if she's going to let Hope have a drink too. or send hope to bang on the researcher's door for a bottle of milk *smile* hope and lilly are inseparable so it seems. Hope was seen licking the newborn cubs 24hrs after their birth,a1st i think.so will Hope help lilly care for the cubs? ? that's the question.

  • I swear I heard 3 seperate babies crying this am between 9am and 10am cst. Two higher tone, and one lower tone.

  • can someone please write a transcript describing what happens in the vidio, so blind people can read about the birth with their screen readers? thanks. great to hear lilly had new cubs though! paws up to all of them *smile*

  • Will Lily have enough milk to nurse Hope and the new cubs? I can't wait until spring when we can see them all. That has to be a wonderful sight to see.

  • Thank all at NABC / WRI for allowing this window in to one of the mysteries of birthing with a yearling still with her mother. Hoping all survive and thrive.

  • Wonderful news! Happy that Lilies labor is over, Congrats, I hope that Hope is doing okay I just love that little cub and everything she was put through at such a young age. I wish I could see them.

  • Well Done, Lily!

  • Wonderful News will still watch Bear cam though!!!

  • Wonderful news! :) Congratulations dear Lily & best of luck for your new cubs.

  • I just Pray this works out... after everything they have been through, Hope deserves to have a settled life this summer, she is such a good girl :)

  • I've had headphones on and the volume turnd up. I thought I heard only one cub, plus Hope suckling. We won't know for sure unless we see. Lily is still allowing Hope to suckle, which is a good sign. Hope has been quiet, but she is curious and sticking her face down into Lily's belly to study the cub(s). Between Hope and her new sibling(s), I believe they can keep Lily's mating hormones in check this coming May.

  • Woot Woot Baby! Congrats Lily!

  • well i hope she will not abandon all her cubs again!

  • @clairenunavut It's not her fault. She was a young mom with just one cub, and nature decided it wasn't enough for her mothering instincts to prevail 100% of the time. I doubt she'll lose that instinct this time with multiple cubs.

  • @mairead027 i know dont worry! i was just worrying a bit! i was not breathing the entire time they were looking for Hope! :) i'm a huge fan of them <3

  • I'm glad things have worked out so far - Lily wandering off and losing Hope was a risk she took to get another baby. Still a silly bear for doing it. She's lucky people were around.

  • @stevebritgimp Aw... a silly and young bear. She couldn't help it! ;-)
