Paul is the Man! somewhere between Buddy Emmons and Doug Jernegan... and ya know that just cant be too bad huh.. first time I saw Paul was at the Steel convention and he was just a kid... he grew up to be such a nice guy and wow what a player huh
I remember Paul playing his steel when he was young and lived across the street from me....will never forget his amazing talent!!! The Lewis' definitely remember you Paul
I like it, but would like it more if I could see what is happening!!! There is no sign of the steel guitarist; he seems to be shrouded in darkness!! Just can't see any visuals at all!
The mark of a GREAT player in my opinion, is their ability to get ground-breaking sounds out of their instruments 'dry'. In this respect, many of the old greats - Like Emmons, Green, West, etc will NEVER be beaten!
Thanks for posting Jamie...Paul has been a favorite of mine since i first heard him in '82 or '83 - while demo-ing for Sho-bud in a small music store in SE Texas... He was great - even back then. Met his family @ the TSGA show in '09...just like Paul - they are very humble & sincerely grateful for thier fans. I'm one!
Amazing! No disrespect, because they are fantastic, but it looks like the other band members can hardly believe what they're hearing :-) Thanks for posting this festival of outstanding playing!
Okay if you like this then you will SLOVE Robert Randolph!!! Robert Randolph is THE BEST pedal steel guitarist I have ever heard! He just came out with a new CD a few days ago and it’s AMAZING! His solos of him rocking out are to die for! When I listen to his music, I can really feel every note and there aren’t too many artists I can say that about! Check him out!
THANKS FOR THE VIDEO!!! Franklin is my favorite steel man. He masters all types of music. Move over Emmons and Chalker. There is a new legend in town.
God!!!! Franklin is monster! He tears up the steel! I noticed the face of Kenny Sears admiring Pauls' playing...Thanks for posting this video Eightstring aka Ronald Cid
Great clips Jamie. Every member of this band are exceptional players and work together to produce something very special. Sounds like you're having a great time. All the best you.
This has got to be the BEST band going. Thanks so much for uploading this video. Not only Paul is hot in this video but the accordion, and guitar player are fabulous...the drummer and bassist are a dream rhythm section...Sounds to me like Paul has added his John Hughey sound to the mix...he such a fabulous player. Thanks so much
Paul is a Master of his craft...keep'em coming Jamie..
