@bigghettonerd not try to be a know it all but it's from martinique from the band kassav they made the riddim in the 80's not st.lucia ...st.lucia version to it is the anous alles riddim...not zouk la .....coming from a sound engineer student ....btw listen the both riddims and you will hear the difference in instruments used the zouk la riddim is a natural riddim while the anous alles is artificial....meaning that the zouk la can be played clearly with stage instruments

Not sure if it has a official name. The riddim was used on an old french caribbean song "Zouk la Se Sel Medikaman Nou Ni" which is considered the zouk anthem. So far i heard the riddim was called the "Kassav riddim" also heard it being called the "Anous Ailles riddim" for what the singer says before the song begins. Not 100% sure. But the beat will always be fiyaaah
