I'm a daytrader so I trade ETF and the GLD but I wouldn't buy them long term, I buy and sell them withing the hour. I have bars and coins for long term investment :)

I hope Comex bust on their deliveries and their contracts so that spot price of silver will go through the roof. ETF are like a banks. They make the money and u don't. Even though you buy 1/10 at of spot price per share. This is similiar to the volatility of the derivaties markets. ETF trading is about 5 years old and still very young. Before 2005 the open public was not able to employ ETF!!!

My question is, how to liquidize physical silver??? Is there a way I can sell it and profit? As jewellers are willing to buy physical silver for scrap price, which honestly sucks.

Do not buy gold or silver which is not considered 'junk' metals.

If you are buying junk metals... eg( old coins... eagles, etc...) buy 5% with shipping over spot at most.

There are so many ways this thing can go wrong.....Custodial Bank, Trusts, COMEX, SEC, SIPC, IShares, NYMEX....none of them can screw with MY SILVER!

I think the 40 basis points the GLD fund charges per a year is profit enough. Why would they have to use the silver as co-lateral?  I

got a qustion for you, we know when this phony american economy collapses a new currency called the amero will come out. now this new currency will be backed by silver, what exactly happens to the value of silver when it becomes used as collateral for a new currency?
