I didn't mean to sound insulting but it's interesting that Chinese and Uyghur vocal styles can be so similar. So did the Chinese really derive influence from Uyghur music?
@laopod A really (traditional) Uyghur music is completely different from Chinese. But recently, as you know, the similar music is increased both in Chinese and Uyghur. You can google "Uyghur music" for more information.

Uyghurs have been living on the silk road. That is why Uyghurs tend to very communicative.

Silk and paper were invented and made in Hotan, an Uyghur city in the west of East Turkistan borders with India and Tibet. That is the reason Chiense gov restricts researchers to do some researches about it in Uyghur region, occupied East Turkistan. Uyghur Empire established in the 9th century covered north of Great wall of CHina, North of Iran & central aisa.

Peride Mamut sings in Kashgar style. Senuber Tursun sings in Ghulja style as I mentioned. Kashgar style might be more dominant because Kashgar has always been the capital of Uyghur Empires and kingdoms before the Chinese occupation. Uyghur Mukam is more influenced by Persian, Arabic & Spanish music.
