I am a supporter of JMU only because of the close personal friends I used to play with in high school who are now on their team. I agree that VA Tech of which I am a long time fan of, did not do a great job that day on lots of little things that added up. I am going to say that the ruffing the kicker call was completely wrong in every way though, that is the only objection I had to the entire day.
Ever since App. State beat Michigan, it seems that more and more of the Div-1AA schools are beating the Div-1A schools. And they're not beating just bottom of the barrel schools like Temple or San Jose. They're beating decent, well regarded teams, like VA.Tech and Ole Miss.
Talent parity is being shown here. Perhaps scheduling Div 1AA schools is not such a good idea anymore. They have proved that they can hang.
Does anyone have any idea where I can get the music from this highlight? It's far and away my favorite from ESPN, and it makes me think of this upset (and especially the brilliant roughing the kicker at the end of the game).
Ryan Williams comments shows exactly why everybody hates the Hokies except for their own fans. They act like they should never, ever lose a football game no matter who they play. Which is kind of a baffling attitude considering they lose important games all the time. Stop acting like football gods. You've had 10 years of success. You're not a dynasty, you're not a powerhouse, you're just a good-not-great football team. Show some class every once in a while, if you can.

Plus its not like he said that JMU sucks or anything, he just said we need to be winning. He didn't want to lose, and wants to play better. Especially 2 games in a row against teams everyone expected you to beat. Let me remind you that team had national championship aspirations. And i have no clue how you can say VT is not a prestiges program. If 5 bcs bowl apearances, a national championship apearance, 9 ten or more win seasons in the past 11 years dosent make them a great team idk what will
