  • Great video man! I'm also got the Radiopopper and I'm very happy with them! I just need to sell my Hensel's and buy those Alien Bees.

    Muchas gracias por compartirlo!

    Saludos!

  • Thanks Ivan, your video was pretty simple and to the point. I've been looking for written reviews for the JrX System, but this clip justifies it a bit. Thanks again.

  • took me a second to figure out your shooting into a mirror.

  • First of all, thanks for sharing. It is really helpful. I just received my Radiopopper JRX studio set. A basic question: When setting your transmitter and receiver, to begin with, do you set both (the strobe and the transmitter) to the lowest values? And, do you know whether it works the same way when using flash (something like SB 800) units? Do you start always from the lowest and then go to higher power; or it doesn't matter where to start?

  • @opqrst7 i don't have an official answer but i kind of just leave it wherever and it works for me

  • Helpful vid, thanks! Currently using the CTR-301p triggers for my flashes.

  • I have two Calumet 750's that i control with my SB900... I have decided i want to go wireless and well at this point and time I am stuck between the radiopoppers and Elinchrom EL 19360 Skyport Universal... I really like the feature of controlling the light output with the knobs... What do you think?

  • @Aeris365 i haven't done any research on the elinchrome, but that's a top dog company.

  • @drummerdip DEcided to return the Calumets and got a BXri 500s and it came with the trigger...

  • Great info on the alien bees & ctr-301's.. I believe your cord may be the problem for your random firing though.. My brother tried the same method as you with the DIY cord connections & he had the same problem.. Try picking up the 2-foot, 2.5mm male mono to 3.5mm male mono sync cord on alien bees website (I believe its the cst 24" sync cord for about $6-7) it solved his problems.. Just in case you wanted to know lol

  • @Mz59Fifty i tried buying a new cord, but it still did it on me, i think i'm just cursed

  • Hey, thanks for the info. I just purchased two AB800's and a Radiopopper PX transmitter, with two JrX Studio receivers. I haven't received them yet, but this just solidifies my hopes for how they'll work. Have you tried to sync past 1/200th of a second with it? Rumor has it that poppers can high speed sync.

  • @Cowinacan i get them up too 1/250th, when i go any faster it wont sync

  • @dramalkc1324 yea you can use the power button on the transmitter as a test button which dumps the power
