Vuze / Azureus : configure port forwarding

cant figure it out yet how it works .

try the free program (easy to google )

simple port forwarding .

choose your router from the list

choose what you want to doklik file and (add port(s) button

you only need to know the inlog IP adress of your modem

in case the program selected the wrong ip

(if you dont know google for your ip adress or look in the manual of your modem.

also easy to keep a backup with this program.

in case you loose your settings

some routers /modems reguire a password and user name .

try username admin  password admin

no succes then contact your internet provider and ask them the login info

The problem I'm having is that Vuze (or any other torrent client that I use) completely slows down my network on all the computers in my house. Everyone says I should port forward whatever number Vuze is using but it does nothing. Help?

Personally I've found that uploading slows down the network more than downloading. I mean, uploading is nice - makes the world go round - but maybe you should limit it a bit more?

This will allow other torrent users to connect to you. It will improve greatly on the speed of your torrents when azureus have just started up, and possibly on the over all speed too.

For everyone having problems just remember not every router is the same but the steps are almost alike just try and compare it to yours I dont have the same Router but i was able to configure my router use this guide

Turns out I had to reset my router by pushing this tiny little button on the back because somehow it's password got messed up. It let me in then! And OMG, it worked! GREEN!
