  • can this be used as a screen for the faucet?

  • Will this filter out fluoride?

  • @Souls4Freedom Nope.

  • Did you bioassay the filtrate?

  • lol this dude sounds like som1 on ci channel!

  • Was I the only one straining my neck forward just waiting in anticipation to see if, and when, that coffee would go in the filter? lol. Good vid.

  • Funnel*

  • im realy starting to get mad its carmon and super north america your dumb activated carbon has a great ability to remove collor so its not fake i men why do you think sugar is white and not yelowis brown i mean brown sugars isent filtered by the carbon thats why its brown you ppl are dumb hhh its not fake

  • @lovegunz1 Yeah, you´re right. Activated carbon filters out all that. Some dude told me that he makes activated carbon out of coconut shells, is that true? When that guy told me that, I wacked´em on the head with a rolled up L.A. Times Sports Section telling´em to stop smoking that shit. But what if he was telling the truth. Is that posible?

  • @SuperNorthAmerica actualy they do and the activated carbon made out of coconut shells is one of the best qualitys you can get. its also of course the most expensive

  • i believe that filter is a 2 part filter. There is the activated carbon filter at the top and there is a ion exchange media at the bottom.

Activated carbon is a well known de-coloring agent.

  • You are false, there was water in the container before you poured the coffe in. Why do you lie to people? You might have fooled alot of folks, but not me.

  • @SuperNorthAmerica Maybe you didn't see the clear droplets of filtered liquid falling out from the bottom of the filter?

Why do you have to be so inept?

  • maybe you should open a filtered coffee shop

  • im supplying granulated charcoal to korea...and thats true it can purify a thing

  • DRINK IT!

  • wow that's amazing!

  • Where did you get that filter? Looks exactly like what i need.

  • @gregswitala

I got it at Target. They're also available at Walmart

The filter itself is made by PUR, the model number is CRF-950Z

  • Does it make a difference whether or not the coffee is hot?

  • Due to its high degree of microporosity, just one gram of activated carbon has a surface area in excess of 500 m2, as determined typically by nitrogen gas adsorption.

  • You need a funnel!

  • Well done. No surprise that activated charcoal works that well. Check out Innofresh activated charcoal for odor elimination as well.

  • Yep! It is indeed impressive!

  • i gotta do some kind of chemistry project thing and filter out...

Mud, sand, soap, and salt from water with anything, anything as in only things that can filter.. only filter paper, activated charcoal, no burners or anything.. -sigh-

  • waa interesting. agree wif obeyance. its just xperiment to show the effectiveness of AC. no need to do it if u want to drink coffee :)

  • Do you think it would be easier to take the water you would use for making coffee, and pour it into the square container? Skipping the parts where you taint the water with roasted and ground vegetable matter, and then filtering it back out?

    Coffee is quite delicious though.

  • Erm.. I do believe he was just doing a "science experiment" to see how well carbon filters cleaned.
