  • not gonna buy a shit

  • When you say "buy", I suppose you mean to say "pirate".

  • @GroddGuerrilla Actually.... my copy is registered. If you want to pirate a product from a small company like this. Considering what the program does. Hey, that's on you.

  • is there an `alphonse elrick armor suit` tutorial like this?

  • is there a way to separate the 2d from 3d and open it in something like paint?

i am asking becouse i dont have a printer and my friend has one but he doesn't have pepakura.

so i whant to print it on his computer.

  • hello, the hero tutorial , i just want to say thanks for all your help. righ now i'm working on my son's iron man custom . idon't know nothing so everything is new for me, and i have some pictures , i would like some advice for you, i put some pictures in facebook. xtreme fun rental. i would like some advices from you, about the neck, gloves . and what color can i used to paint the proyect , thank you very much for share this with every body ,

  • hey thanks for the tutorials, this has inspired me alot, cause im use to sewing all my costumes. But im having a hard time finding pepakura files, like Thors Armor and you know maybe something for girls like Sif in the thor movie. It sounded alot from the forums like people are designing their own pepakura files from scratch. Is this needed, or is the some easier way to navigate the forums to find files other than just writing THOR ARMOR PEPAKURA FILES??? thanks again

  • @helenaditzel what you're seeing is that they're making costumes from scratch. Not really their own pep files. They use reference images and plan it out. Not everything is made from pep or really needed.

  • Hi bro, it's nice to see someone showing how to make foam armor by using pepakura. Every time I do my armor with fiberglass, It's not only expensive, messy, itchy, but its hazardous to my health. I just finished my master chief , now I'm planning to make war machine, I'm gonna use it for my son's next birthday:) Gonna check more of your videos ty:)

  • how much would it cost for you to make a version of the iron man for me? :P

  • thanks for the awesome video! it sucks that the Pepakura website doesn't really help me with the costume i want to make; which, is the juggernaut from Call of Duty. i say this because i can't find anything for it and i don't think anyone has made a costume for it yet. i don't really know how the website actually works; so, i could be wrong. can i upload a picture to the Pepakura website and it'll automatically make a 3D design for me?

p.s. do you use a regular printer to print out the shapes?

  • that was officially the scariest ad i EVER watched.

it was for a movie called "the devil inside"

  • i understand the part where i have to change to fit my size, but how im going to make all with the same propotion?

to make a costume for me

    thanks

  • hi , the hero tutorials , this is tut is very goog , awesome, thanks for share them with us , i have question and suggestion, do you have a video that show how to do a iron man suit using foam if no , why you don't do one and sell it, i would be the first to buy, thanks again.

  • @yego011 what? Did you watch part 1 and 3? This is a Foam costume video tutorial. Use this method to make any costume using files not just iron man. Please listen to the videos again closely and pay attention and use some common sense and you'll see what I'm saying. I don't sell foam costumes. Just make your own it's easy.

  • thank you very much for this!

  • So do you prefer to build with foam over paper, fiberglass?

  • great tutorials, thanks! I had never heard of Pepakura for modelling 3D prototypes. Had a similar idea for the UV unwrap in Blender 3D, but didn't really follow through with making it work. It'd probably be a pain due to having to mark JUST the right seams without distortion. (I never was good at texturing)

Can't wait for part 3, BUT its understandable if you are working on your current Halloween costume ;) ideas/progress pics, yet?

  • @neohelios77 it's uploading right now :)

  • Excellent tut! Thanks for posting!

Here's a question for you: You mentioned that whenever you have bends, you have to disconnect them. This mostly applies to pieces with sharp bends What about pieces that are gentler in the bend to make more of a curve? ie: A bowl-shaped piece of foam.

Does that mean I would still have to disconnect these pieces when I do it on pepakura?

    Thanks!

  • @ValkyrieStryker I don't do that for curved sections. Everything works out when you put it all together. Plus your limb fills it out and shapes the part, biceps, forearms etc.

  • about the sizing how do i know if im printin the right size for my body like if im 150 pounds and 5,7 tall???

  • @uzukima I'm going to make a tutorial for scaling soon

  • Will there be a part 3?

  • is Card Stock a must? or I can use other kind of paper? like oslo?

  • @ResidenEvil4Leon222 just use something that's strong enough to trace off of onto the foam.

  • @TheHeroTutorials uhm how about the paper size? :D

  • @ResidenEvil4Leon222 if you're gonna use different paper that involves common sense with changing the size in the printer settings in the pepakura program and possibly printer. I'd keep it simple and just use standard size

  • what if i want to make a helmet???

  • @rockof100 use a helmet file

  • i have an ironman helmet "starkmark VI" and the lines wont print out i did the print adjustments as u show i was wondering if theres anything else i can do....or am i stuck with a bum cut out

  • @Shananiganz24 did you match the printer settings at 3:25 in the video?

  • @TheHeroTutorials yeh with the exception of it being A4 instead of your letter other than that everything seems right execpt im only getting the numbers printing out not the lines >.<

  • @Shananiganz24 hmm are you sure line transparency is a 0?

usually those settings do the trick as this question has been asked to me many times.

Check again, otherwise I'm not too sure my friend :(

  • This is really interesting. I never considered doing it this way. May have to try this out. Thanks for this!

  • I use a mac and cant use Pepakura, do you know of anything I can use for a mac thats equivalent to the program?

  • @TheHidalgo11 sure, if you want.

  • I have the free version of the program and it doesn't have the 3 colored pencils icon you mention at 4:40 . Is there any other way to adjust the amount of folds in the construction?

  • When's #3 coming out?

  • @TheHeroTutorials can i use foam for the helmet?

  • thank you so much!!!

  • What is that google thing your using at the start?

  • These are great and valuable lessons. I'm looking forward to more! Thanks!

  • Can't wait for part 3! when's it coming?

  • Fantastic Stuff! Keep up the GREAT work -- and videos! :)

  • Hi my friend I hope you remember me, I made my first helmet the result was great, and comming to the Armor part I wanted to get more info about scaling, i did a little googlin' and I found a very cool software: Cosplay Size Calculator it's a freeware really usefull I hope that it will help you if you don't know about it if you do It's even better ;)

  • awesome video...I'm going to have to buy a key for pep designer now I guess.

  • just an idea. you could set up a link where ppl can directly download a file that u completed on a part of a suit, armor or etc etc. then people can directly print it out and save us sometime:). you will be doing the world a favor :D

  • How well does the foam construction work with more curved models. Like I said before on the previous video I want to try doing Iron Man with this, but there's a big difference in curves compared to War Machine? Any tips, or will it be something covered in a future video?

  • @ConSmith1807 I can't get into specific details to that extent. There will be too many videos on every question. This is a basic explanation of the concept. You have to try it out, it makes more sense when you're actually doing it. If the iron part is rounded, when you put it together it will be rounded. I dunno if you seen my iron man suit in this channel but I applied the same pricinple from this method. I didn't do anything differently. Just try it out and you'll see.

  • hey!im working on the same thing!i mean for the war machine

  • Just downloaded the program and realized I can open all of my 3d studio max models and .obj files. This opens up SO many opportunities with this software. VERY worth the $38 registering fee.

  • @gordontarpley Great point. You can import the 3ds max .obj files into the pepakura Designer and unfold them. If you can model it, you can import it for use with this method. It's a great program. I agree, Well worth the money.

  • killer man. thanks so much for making these vids!

  • I want to try this method, but I have a feeling it's not gonna turn out too great haha, is it easy to get the hang of?

  • @NextStopSummer how would you know if you don't try? lol

    do it....DO IT!....it's not so bad! :)

  • @TheHeroTutorials That's a good point lol, I'll have to give it a try then!

  • @NextStopSummer be postive man. You can do this. This just takes a little common sense.

  • @TheHeroTutorials I'll try it out! Thanks for the tutorials man!

  • ahh, this was what I was confused about. excellent tut! I think I'll be starting on my GOE armor very soon (:

  • great help stef! This will help a lot of costumers!

  • hi, how can i know if the things will fit me? i am about 6'7 and not fat.

    pls answer :)

    nice amors though

  • @HenkibenkiSan He does mention about printing off and cutting out a piece to check the scale. I belive the length of the pieces would be the most difficult of them, so perhaps take a ruler and measure the length of your arm/leg/whatever to get that right

  • @ConSmith1807 ok thank you :)

so i have to figure it out by myself :D

  • @HenkibenkiSan Yes, you'll have to measure your limbs and figure that out yourself if that's what you're implying.

Your height is irrelevant. Every piece will need to be scaled differently. Everyone has different proportions. 1 scale for every piece doesn't always work.

I'll explain in the next video.

  • @HenkibenkiSan You will, yes, but fortunately there's enough reference photos/videos that you can figure out how the pieces are supposed to fit and figure it out from there what size it needs to be

  • @ConSmith1807 You're exactly right

  • @HenkibenkiSan dude ur tall. ur almost masterchiefs size

  • @Masterjohn360 yeah, for real, this guy would be a Perfect Master Chief.

  • thank you so much for this

  • Done =)))
