whats funny is if you babby rotaries they end up in the worse for ware than if you run it like a BAT OUTTA HELL. carbon build-up is what breaks the seals and if you run the engine like crazy it can break up the carbon off the inside walls.

@Hitlo58 A 4 rotor is called a 2.6 liter BUT that is only counting 1 of the 3 combustion chambers of each rotor. If you are comparing to a piston engine you have to count 2 cycles of the eccentric shaft just like you do with the crank in a piston engine to figure out the displacement. SO, to compare apples to apples, a 4 rotor is actually a 5.2 liter. Still a pretty nasty motor.

no they wouldn't. the 26b weighs nearly twice as much as the 13b and is nearly twice as long meaning the motor hangs way out over the steering rack and requires its relocation, messing up the steering geometry. Th 302 and LS series small blocks weigh within 25-50lbs of the 13b and much much less than the 26b and are much shorter, if done right they do not hang over the front axle line and do not require the relocation of the steering rack, this results in a lighter, better handling car

That's right the BMW's S70 engine is a masterpiece and personally one of the best engines ever made when it was modded for the Mclaren F1, yeah that sucked 80hp difference right there in the M3 i don't care what kind of car is able to beat the F1 but just remember it was a N/A engine pumping out 600+HP compared to other cars in this day that have way more power but still can't match the Mclaren's raw power and performance.

you just dont get it do you. the 575 big block isnt a high rev engine which means that when you redline it theres a higher probability to throwing a rod hence forth there extensive warranty. where as the 26B is an engine meant for racing in mind. hence the reason the engine is a high rev engine. no rods which means you throwing one is 0%. oh and this engine does come with a warranty as well believe it or not. you can check it out on some websites.

jeeesus I don't even remember what I said but take it easy. these things have many advantages. 0 reciprocating mass, less moving parts, etc. they're tricky and tend to blow up though. whatever I said supporting the 572 is probably that it will make it down the track at least twice as many times as a 26b if trapping the same times. the 26b is a custom engine, mazda doesn't sell an eccentric shaft for 4 rotors. how the hell do you get warrantied welding 2 13b's together? pull that outta ur ass?
