I disagreed with this match when it was announced. I wouldn't pay a dime for this event. I knew this match was going to be a damn shame. This is not the Mosley that we grew up watching in the past decade. I'm glad I was able to watch this online for free or I wouldn't even watch it.

@nbaboxing Marquez took it to a whole other level in their third fight and moved back and to the left in small 6" movements that negated many of Manny's offensive attacks. He then initiated his own attacks and quickly fell back into his movement patterns.
The blueprint has already been established so its up to Manny and Freddie to decide how they will adjust to nullify it.

Pac's weakness is balance and footwork. Manny doesn't use his jab he lunges in with his attacks - its fine when he makes contact - as he mostly does given the style of fighter he is matched with. jmm exposed this by constantly taking backward steps, making pac miss, lose balance & be countered.its why pac never fights pure boxers

@xaqom1211 there are some good ones in the lower division - my favourite fighter at the moment - the guy who i think is the future p4p#1 is nonito donaire - obviously he is way lighter but will eventually move up as high as pac maybe given he is actually taller (but maybe not as big a frame) - robert guerero is fighting @140 now (when fit). other lower weight fighters that could eventually move up are broner & gamboa but they would only go as far as 140 which pac could make i'm sure
some techniques are good if you're just gonna want to survive against manny.. mayweather is a superb defensive fighter, yes, but not as good counter puncher as marquez. if floyd would use this, i will die laughing.. imagine floyd running backwards against a smaller guy in manny? @xaqom1211 Oscar was drained to 147 lbs. Before the fight he was on an IV to stop from passing out. Roach said he even saw the IV marks in Oscar's arm. Roach also said he watched Oscar running the day before and he coudl barely make 1 lap around the track.

Marquez was fighting lightweights. Floyd fought oscar who outweighed him by 17 lbs in the ring and Ortiz who outweighed him by 14 lbs. Even Mosley outweighed Floyd by 8 pounds.

Yeah JMM used this and Floyd will do it too. Pacs recent opponents have been washed up weight drained and old fighters. They only fought JMM cause he was 38. It blew up in their face and got schooled bad.

I like fmj and mp. I think Fmj is a better the boxer and has a high boxing iq but lacks the the ability to just fight and at times can be dirty. MP is the stronger, fighter and puncher but has defensive holes. This technique is useless. Judges will still score 10-9 for Pacquiao because he still is the aggressor. He is the one who is chasing. No chasing, No fight will happen.
It's evident, even more so after the JMM fight, that Manny is not capable of cutting off the ring. More than just not having anything to cut off, Manny is not able to maneuver either SSM or JMM into a favorable position he's just following his opponent around.

After Mosley went down in the 3rd round, mosley ran the rest of the fight. It is hard to look good with an opponent that kept running away. That is way MMA is gaining ground on boxing is because of the fighters that runs away. In MMA, it may be a decision but somebody is bleeding. Pacquiao brought boxing to life with the way he fights and that is toe to toe, duking it out and may the best man win or stay standing.

Mosley was "turning" Pacquiao and keeping outside his power hand therefore nullifying Pacquiao's main weapon the straight left. turn from the left hand right? hardly ground breaking. its the first thing you're taught when fighting a southpaw - that and the right hand lead - left hook combo. Pac's weakness is balance and footwork. Manny doesn't use his jab he lunges in with his attacks - its fine when he makes contact - as he mostly does given the style of fighter he is matched with. jmm exposed this by constantly taking backward steps, making pac miss, lose balance & be countered.its why pac never fights pure boxers

@xaqom1211 really? name a pure boxer on pacquiao's resume? as far as i can tell they are all brawlers or walk up style boxer-punchers - the classic mexican warrior style - make that Latin warrior style - mex's, ricans, etc they all have the perfect style for pac. jmm is unusual in that he can box on the outside, he can counter punch. but when the term pure boxer is used it means classic outside, stick and move style that african-americans are as renowned for as mexicans are for walking up.

@xaqom1211 there are some good ones in the lower division - my favourite fighter at the moment - the guy who i think is the future p4p#1 is nonito donaire - obviously he is way lighter but will eventually move up as high as pac maybe given he is actually taller (but maybe not as big a frame) - robert guerero is fighting @140 now (when fit). other lower weight fighters that could eventually move up are broner & gamboa but they would only go as far as 140 which pac could make i'm sure

So I guess that's why all those "pressure fighters" including Ortiz failed to make a dent on Floyd. You have to do the math on these kind of things. @musood6630 Look at the power Floyd soaked up in that one powershot from Mosley in 3rd round, YES it rocked him to the core,but he WOULD NOT TOUCH THA CANVAS! I have NO DOUBT that if Pacquiao took that shot, he would be on his back,like many a time before! Therefore im saying,Floyds chin is PROVEN to be in several classes ABOVE Mannys, who HAS been floord on several ocassions.

@glennbuchanan29 Mosley at the time was the hardest hitting welterweight in that division and he hit Floyd with a perfect combination flush on the jaw. Manny Pacquiao does not have Mosley style one shot devestation power. Most sparring partners who fought both said that Mosley hit much harder, it's just that he can't really pull the trigger past the 3rd round. Besides Floyd doesn't get phazed by hard punches unliek Pacquiao who gets "cramps" or "wears the wrong gloves". Excuses

Marquez did everything in the above video plus actually threw punches and was arguably robbed in a close fight. Unfortunately for Pacquiao, Mayweather is a much better counter puncher than Marquez. Yeah JMM used this and Floyd will do it too. Pacs recent opponents have been washed up weight drained and old fighters. They only fought JMM cause he was 38. It blew up in their face and got schooled bad.

@BloodyMexicanHindu Pac was real conservative through the first half of the fight with JMM (he wasn't as aggressive as he was in the first two fights) and never once looked like he was in trouble. Never got "schooled" (JMM lost afterall). A "schooling" would have been a completely one-sided win for JMM, which, unfortunately, it wasn't.

Pacquiao will try to beat mayweather early cuz dats the only time mayweather can be beat those are the rounds when mayweather will study his opponents, footwork, combinations, counters, defense etc floyd will be on defense mode and won't hesitate to jab or throw a right hand lead just to piss off his opponent and make him go wild leaving himself open for a nasty counter but in the 4th n up floyd will figure his opponent out n take over the fight all night

I like fmj and mp. I think Fmj is a better the boxer and has a high boxing iq but lacks the the ability to just fight and at times can be dirty. MP is the stronger, fighter and puncher but has defensive holes. If they fight Think about this.If FMJ got rocked by mosely twice and MP knocked down mosely once and rocked him god knows how many times then, what do you think MP's power will do to floyd if he can catch him? This technique is useless. Judges will still score 10-9 for Pacquiao because he still is the aggressor. He is the one who is chasing. No chasing, No fight will happen.

It's evident, even more so after the JMM fight, that Manny is not capable of cutting off the ring. More than just not having anything to cut off, Manny is not able to maneuver either SSM or JMM into a favorable position he's just following his opponent around.

Mayweather is going to make Paquio figgt going backwardards. You never saw Paquio fight going backwards . The time you did see it he wasn't effective when he fought Morales the first fight. That will take his power away. I could here Roger Mayweather walk him down. Manny is not going to suspect that. Mayweather has the defence to do it. Margarito tried but his defence wasn't that good.

After Mosley went down in the 3rd round, mosley ran the rest of the fight. It is hard to look good with an opponent that kept running away. That is way MMA is gaining ground on boxing is because of the fighters that runs away. In MMA, it may be a decision but somebody is bleeding. Pacquiao brought boxing to life with the way he fights and that is toe to toe, duking it out and may the best man win or stay standing.

@rspcoach619 He wasn't running away. If he was running away then it would have been easy for Pacquiao to cut off the ring like he did with a running Cotto and really start pumelling him. Mosley was "turning" Pacquiao and keeping outside his power hand therefore nullifying Pacquiao's main weapon the straight left. Pacquiao was also unable to use his right hook because Mosley was smart to just keep his left high. In effect Mosley exposed Pacquiao's weaknesses. He was just to worried to capitalize
