  • so u can ruin a car..

  • is it really that hard to sit for a second and think that the dyno is not an awd dyno so they removed the transfer just for the dyno testing and once they left but everything back as it goes?? really?

  • @Dani01c This ^

  • i wanna see it on the track if it makes less than 9 sec i believe in u

  • They would've just disabled the front differential, calm down...

  • pretty sure those new gtrs have a switchable diff for stuff like this and tire warming at the strip. however it makes me wonder if the rear diff is built up cause i doubt if the stock one will handle all the power in the back only... 820 whp??? that would shatter most stock drivetrains

  • @jeffgalt420 they dont... sorry the R35 are AWD not 4WD

  • @jeffgalt420 the gt-r's AWD system sends 100% of the power to the rear wheels when there is traction so the rear diff is already built to withstand full power.

  • WTF?????? what kind of idiots test an AWD car on a two wheel dyno?

  • @dragraceman21

    1. These people aren't idiots

    2. The cars been converted to a RWD

    3. if it's an AWD why didn't it go flying off the dyno

    4. Reread all steps

    5. Repeat step 4

  • @dragraceman21 Underground Racing? ... :)

  • dont know much about awd systems, more of an engine person myself. But any of you ever think they disconnected the fwd so they could run it on the dyno? awd dynos are expensive as all hell so this is commonly done...

  • @SteadyHULKiN you dont dissconnect the FWD on a car with a"live" differential, you can destroy it in a heartbeat, these guys are retards.

  • RWD FTW!!!!!!!

  • ewww why rwd?

  • never ever ever RWD a GTR. especially a new one, its like making a new-born baby disabled. 4WD is what made the R35, that launch is something out of this world.

  • Converting an R35 to RWD is a horrible thing to do... I mean, it's like buying a GT-R R35 and converting it to RWD.

  • @Monstretundersengen best comment ever

  • @Monstretundersengen does anyone notice something wrong with this comment lol

  • Comment removed

  • this is a fucking sick car, i'm gonna go make it on forza 4 and i'm 21, yes i wish i could have that car call me a loser cause i dont have it!

  • Boost Logic has one-upped AMS..... AMS' Alpha 12 GTR has dynoed 1100awhp..... BootLogic has dynoed 1300awhp.

Both cars are in the 8's

  • AMS IS THE WORLD'S FASTEST GTR YOUR THE 2ND I LIKE THE BOOST LOGIC SHOP THOUGH

  • @drift18Japan This vid is over a year old..

  • please do a 1/4 mile video is this beast

  • GTR's like all 4WD Cars can be switch round into RWD.

  • depending on the set up it can also be tuned to act as rwd

  • my buddy has one it does the same thing on the dyno

  • aren't GT-R AWD

  • @ASIANphantom rwd conversion

  • @TheMatthewHill Oh ok

  • @ASIANphantom Drivetrain conversion

  • @ASIANphantom not if you remove front cv axles ;)

  • Why is it rear wheel drive? wtf

  • @jamestaggreen2 its starts rwd when it detacts the rear wheels slipping then its awd

  • @reviewboss97 No the GT-R is AWD all the time. Its not a SUV or something its a race car

  • @jamestaggreen2 how bout u get your facts right

  • @reviewboss97 Dude are you retarded? They are all wheel drive all the fucking time

  • @jamestaggreen2 dumb ass search in jay leno nissan gtr and go to the video that 10 mins long skip to 2:35 and he has a nissan gtr expert that explains the car specs and then come back here and say ur srry for arguing when u were clearly wrong

  • @reviewboss97 I actually have a life so I couldn't give to shits. Unlike you probably look this shit up all day and sit at home and play xbox

  • @jamestaggreen2 I have a life too i am not a low life person like you fighting with a fourteen year old over a car and umm yeah i do play xbox no shit im a teenager

  • Comment removed

  • WAITTTTTTTTTTTTTT, RWD GT-R?

  • LOLOLOL Styrofoam.

  • lol at the fucking stupid arguements below :) all these high horsepower r32/33/34/35s have adjustable centre diffs which control the torque split. this is similar to the standard dccd system on impreza sti type r's. also the haldex systems used alot on vag awd systems. thinking tht u need to remove the driveshaft in this day and age is just retarded

  • *Check video date...

LOOK AT THE DATE OF THE VIDEO ffs btw the guy below is retarded.

  • Dont understand this claim when I watched a 1500 HP R35 GTR on youtube just the other day. Some comments made here are ludicrous and funny, I own an R33 GTR

so have some knowledge and experience of Nissans AWD system and as standard is the only AWD to give you 50/50 torque split in conditions such as wet.

I think some people need to do their homework. The GTR (R35) is a nice car whatever and ground breaking in ability even standard and with AWD.

So far 8.9 seconds @ 169mph is fastest GTR I saw.

  • MONSTER baby <3

  • You guys do realize its only RWD for the dyno right? and that the computer controls the transmission?

  • Decent numbers, but just RWD does you know good..these numbers are Camaro numbers..and the weight is the same.

  • @TheBulldawg4life

Ya but the Camaro handles like a turd the AWD and fancy electronics probably only account for 5% of why the car pull such amazing numbers its not like all rwds are equal HP is usually the easy part

  • @sidewayznut2009 This is a RWD GTR, it doesn't get the advantage of AWD for handling, and the fancy electronics are really the only thing that make this car any better than a generic C6 Grand Sport.

ALL RWD vehicles with equal power and weight are equal..one may be slightly more aerodynamic than the other, but that won't make much difference.

  • @TheBulldawg4life The computer controls the AWD system, you can shut down the front wheels anytime you want to, then turn them back on again.

It's just a dyno run, as soon as that car is off the dyno, it's AWD again.

  • @NinjaRider777R The front driveshaft controls the AWD system, and to run on a 2 wheel dyno you need to disconnect that. You don't just flip a switch and run RWD..

They could hook up the driveshaft again, but as soon as they do that they'll lose power from this run. In AWD form this is a 775 hp 600 ft lb tq car.

  • @TheBulldawg4life """The front driveshaft controls the AWD system"""

    LoL no.....

I suggest you learn about the GTR transmission, it's COMPUTER CONTROLLED. Same with past GTR's in the 32 to 34 series.

Power to each individual wheel can be controlled on the fly, turned on and off at will, no need to remove the entire driveshaft.

Stop thinking about old style American 4WD systems where everything is mechanical, that day is long gone.

Nissan, Audi, and Subaru all have computer controlled AWD systems

  • @NinjaRider777R I suggest you learn about cars, the transmission has nothing to do with the AWD. Yes, Nissan, Audi, and Subaru have computer controlled AWD systems..they also have front driveshafts that actually RUN the AWD system. You HAVE to remove the driveshaft to run RWD.

You can't simply push a button and drive the vehicle in RWD, no matter what you think.

  • @TheBulldawg4life """You HAVE to remove the driveshaft to run RWD"""

    No, you don't

R32-34 drag cars have been running RWD burnouts, then switch to AWD for the full run, and the videos of it have been on youtube for years

Hell, even in a fucking 1990's GMC Jimmy you can pull a lever in the truck and switch from 4WD to RWD when the truck is stopped, and you DON'T need to pull the damn driveshaft.

FFS get your head out of the stone age of cars, this isn't the 1950s anymore where it's all or nothing

  • @NinjaRider777R Oh you mean purpose built drag cars that have been designed to do that? Yes, because that's completely stock. FFS get an education.

  • @TheBulldawg4life There's dozens of videos of a black R32 in Dubai doing RWD burnouts, then switching to AWD, it's not a drag car either, it's a stock R32 GTR with the exception of a huge rear wing and a ton more power.

Get it through your head dude, the days of pulling a driveshaft ended back in the 1970's.

Now the same thing is done with a computer instead of a 3rd lever on the shifter.

Look for the Top Secret R33 tunnel run vid, RWD burnout, AWD takeoff with all 4 spinning.

  • @NinjaRider777R I'm sorry you're too ignorant to do a little research.. the R32 was designed to run RWD, 33's and 34's were programmed to run 5% tq. to the front wheels at all times, and the R35 well it's designed to run AWD unless the driveshaft is pulled to allow RWD. There is even a nice long process involved including waiting a few minutes so basically every "idiot light" can come on and let you know you broke something.

  • @NinjaRider777R How bout instead of using PAST vehicles as your reasoning, you actually find out the truth. The 2012 GTR is finally getting an option to run RWD by pressing the "fuel save" switch for 4 seconds..until that there was only one way to get a GTR to run RWD and that's pull the driveshaft like multiple people have already pointed out.

  • @TheBulldawg4life All it takes is ONE past vehicle to prove you wrong, god damn you're a fucking idiot when it comes to cars with AWD systems....

Even Porsche had a computer controlled torque splitting AWD system back in 1986.

Since then Audi, Subaru, Nissan, and every other AWD system on the market has been 100% COMPUTER CONTROLLED, able to take power from each wheel individually on the fly, no need to remove any drive shafts.

  • @NinjaRider777R An idiot who works on an Evo...;)

I should've known, silly me, of course there is no mechanical part that actually puts the power to the front wheels. It's all just a computer sending 00101001101010 and then power goes to the front!!!

Wow you're ignorant. According to your logic every RWD vehicle has a LRA, or every motorcycle has a 2 stroke motor, or every truck has 4 wheels...all because PREVIOUS vehicles had these things.

  • @NinjaRider777R nagtroc.org/forums/index.php?/topic/36038-running-the-r35-in-rwd/page__p__492174#entry492174

Oh no...GTR 35 owners talking about how you have to remove the driveshaft to run RWD...

  • @NinjaRider777R Now that I've proven you to be a moron, will you crawl back in your hole and let the men talk?

  • @sidewayznut2009 if you really believe that then you never been on the track before or your only thinking of the strait line in which case the GTR never did anything that hasn't been done before with or without the electronics

if all rwd cars were equal then the ZR1 or Viper would be a joke

  • @sidewayznut2009 I assume that was to me (most of it seems like a response to me) so let me apologize if it wasn't to me. In case it was, I'll clarify more. I was speaking about straight line only (it's a dyno..theres no turning lol) and when it comes down to straight line, if the cars have similar power and weight it's all about the driver. Yes I know there are other factors that play in, but talking on paper alone it'd be 1-1 all driver.

  • @TheBulldawg4life

    your an idiot... seriously...

  • @sidewayznut2009 Ok, would you like to inform us all on how a Camaro with these same numbers wouldn't perform to the same standard as this GTR??

  • @TheBulldawg4life trying to explain something on youtube is pointless its like the speical olympics so if you have no idea you need to get in more cars goto the track more and spend more time around people who do know.

I was clueless until I built a dam dirt buggy of all things then I understood how even your suspension geometry will effect the strait line mostly because I had help from someone who did race every weekend and we tried different things that greatly effected performance.

  • @sidewayznut2009 So basically what you're saying is, you have no reasoning as to why you claim this GTR would somehow beat a Camaro with equal numbers..thats all you had to say.

  • @TheBulldawg4life no I'm just saying your too clueless to get it and I'm not gonna waste time arguing on youtube with some Camaro fanboy thats all I'm not saying either the GTR or Camaro is faster in the strait line with same wieght and power but what I am saying is that not all RWD cars are equal even in a strait line with same wieght and power aerodynamics, suspension setup, traction, gearing, torque curve, HP curve, and driver would all matter a great deal

  • @TheBulldawg4life wtf!? r u retarded.

  • @OGmr420 HPE sells a PACKAGE to Camaro owners (like me) to get 800+ RWHP and 800 + RWTQ. All for the same weight. I don't see what your questions are...Or do you not understand the reason this car is running RWD?

  • @TheBulldawg4life yes i completely understand y the car is running RWD and not AWD. but im just confused on y your trying to compare american muscle with bunnin rice. now dont get me wrong i go both ways in tht aspect, but at the same time they are two comepletly different of building power, because of displacement restrictions.

  • @OGmr420 Sure the V6 in the GTR has it's obvious limit's because of it's size, but the LS motors have their limit's because of design. I'm not knocking an 800 HP GTR, just saying you can get that 800 HP another (cheaper) way lol.

  • @TheBulldawg4life agreed

  • needs more torque!buts its great because is on stock block

  • No AWD???? :C...

  • Worlds fastest GTR still rocking stock rims?

  • @E121C Spending it where it matters.

  • downshift a little quick

  • prolly the best drift car ever with only rwd..

  • AMS FTW

  • Furthermore, if power was transferred to the rear wheels due to some program you're back at point A: you're going to spin and break your differential because of the difference in traction front to back. This is bullshit because we all know that a substantial amount of power is given to the rear wheels with about 25-30% to the front on most AWD cars. On the street AWD is nice, but when money is no option rear wheel drive is king, and will always be king. Not bashing AWD at all, it's still great.

  • Top Fuel dragsters aren't AWD. AWD isn't optimal for high horsepower drag racing due to the natural weight transfer to the rear of the vehicle. On a high horsepower 800+whp AWD car the front wheels will lift to an extent to where their isn't enough weight balanced on the tires causing wheelspin at the front. Therefore RWD with a good tire is the optimal drag racing drivetrain option, also RWD has less drivetrain loss. Cry, scream, shit your pants, punch a wall, show me a AWD car in the 3's 1/4.

  • this is true,, there is a program in the computer the changes the tq from front to back left to right,,,, this is so there can be great turning speed and have awsome traction,,, to disable the front all u haft to do is block the signal to the front wheels, this will keep them frm running, it will get the same numbers if its enabled,,,,, also the high power gtrs in the circuts are all rwd, not awd,, this is because of a reliablity issue around 850-900 hp,,, in the racing circuts,

  • Look at the post date, before the Alpha 12 this was the fastest.

  • this aint the fastest cuz ams performance has the world record for gt-r

  • Doesn't Switzer make a faster GTR?

  • @forry90 yeah but this vid is over a year old. gotta remember that part.

  • @forry90 No, AMS always had the fastest GT-R's, 1500WHP GT'R Alpha 12.

  • iwould dislike this cause its not a fkn GTR anymore,,,, why would u take a AWD and make it rare wheel how stupid,,,

  • Who would dislike this

  • Chuck Norris is Holding the Driveshaft up front to keep the wheels from spinning.

  • @buttmanroad Now thats fuckin funny

  • @buttmanroad Now thats fuckin' funny

  • AMS GTR ALPHA 12 iS THE BEST & FASTES GTR iN THE ENTiRE WORLD

    SO YOU WRONG SUCKUhh

  • if its a gtr wtf is it rwd

  • This video is over a year old, at the time this was the most powerful GTR.

  • AMS's GTR puts out 1300+ awhp and runs 8's in the 1/4.

  • @AllorgasMai

    link please.

  • @CaptainOmar

    /watch?v=IgbnfdnuSKE&feature=related

  • where is the awd?

  • STUPID NO 4-WHEEL DRIVE. MIGHT AS WELL BUY A Z06!!! SOME PEOPLE LIKE TRACTION

  • @xxxStunna youre dumb. It is AWD... its intelligent AWD which means 100% power is sent to the rear wheels until you start to lose traction. Then power is sent to the front

  • @bruni197 lol read the write up about GTRs...some people remove the 4wd parts to lose weight. learn properly.

  • @bruni197 lol good bullshit... take a look at other gtr dyno vids... all 4 wheels spin without loosing traction....

  • dude it isn't the most powerfull gt-r in the world there is one with more than 900HP!!! thats simply the most powerfull till now

  • earthquake at 00:26

  • an insult to nissan!!!

  • Time to swap out for an rb.

  • i thought AMS had the most powerful? guess i was wrong

  • sounds like a vacuum cleaner

  • It still has AWD its just RWD for the dyno session. It has a variable center diff allowing them to transfer power to the rear. AWD dynos are expensive!

  • @ 00:26 my heart nearly fell out of my ass thinking the car took off from the dyno. Phew...

  • what no awd?

  • not the most powerful... BS!!!

  • To put rear wheel hold the race mode lever on the left down for 5 secs

  • i have more hp than that pppfffttt

  • and then SUDDENLY the front tires kick in and the GT-R zooms off through the wall!

  • This is not even a GTR LOL

  • @TeamHN Hahah xD your funny...

  • hahaha...Spool...... Poof :)

  • not a true gtr... im disapointed!

  • UUUUUHHHHHH......

  • I thought gtr's were awd?

  • No 4wd? Well that's a bit of free power then...

  • @hunghuge12 and a lot less grip

  • @spinnanz Yep. Dyno queen only.

  • misleading title is misleading?

  • For everyone complaining about the RWD, they might have taken out the front driveshaft to be safe, but you can run a stock GT-R on a 2WD dyno. 100% of the power is sent to the rear wheels until they loose traction, such as when you launch or turn, then it starts to send power to the front.

  • @pjbadgersuw26 Actually there is a button in the GT-R which will make it Rear wheel drive :)

  • @mcmanus1806 i'm assuming that was sarcastic? lol

  • @pjbadgersuw26 you can just pull a fuse to make them rwd only...

  • A GTR without AWD is like bread & water without water...pointless...

  • @Helldorado2008 i think u meant bread and butter....

  • Why does everyone ask why its not 4wd?! Look at the floor, theres only enough rollers for the rear wheels, they did that so it could be dyno'd and tuned. It could just as easily goto 4wd again.

  • There is a 1011hp GTR in newcastle England!

  • Wait rwd gtr really

  • you may have set a record for most powerful rwd gtr, but you also hold the record for first rwd gtr...

  • Who would buy a 4 wheel dyno when they alrdy have a 2 wheel dyno, they just took the front driveshaft off, its like a 10 minute operation vs a ?0,000 dollar dyno fix

  • Love the BOV's :-)

  • GT-R without AWD is not a GT-R ¬¬

  • @Lvcio91 Its a GT-S.... :-(

  • @Lvcio91 unless your using it for drifting

  • @Lvcio91 ....agree'd its mearly a GT with the dreams of being a GTR

  • @Lvcio91 the GTR can switch from awd to rwd with computer control....

  • @redghost105 only the 2012 can

  • @Lvcio91

    Its a 2010 GT-S hahahaha

  • what that front white box for???

  • @razmonhong2309

    For filling up the frontBumper.

    why not 4wd?

  • yup the Alpha 10 kills anything

  • wtf why would ever make a gtr 2 wheel drive ?

  • @529ark They took out the front driveshaft cause their Dyno is only a 2WD dyno.

  • they probably just took the front driveshaft out...

  • Video title is very misleading. This is not the world's most powerful GTR, nor is it being dyno on AWD, rather, on FR which skews the comparability compared to other GTR rated power; which are done on AWD runs. But neither the less, still a nice GTR.

  • Switzer is making 1005whp package for R35

  • When you says short block you mean stock internals too? Wondering what the GTR engine can handle daily driver and very abused with stock internals

  • wtf why is it only 2wd its not a gtr anymore if your gonna get rid of the 4wd system why not just stick a 2jz in there and be done with it ... cant wait too see when people start building gtr's with 1000 hp + properly

  • @rs200000000000

    it's 2ws just for dynoing....

  • @nitrogeb bullshit is it they remove the 4wd system to dyno it cmon... you can get 4 wheel dyno's..

  • @rs200000000000

i have whatched a video with this car racing a lambo tt and it's 4wd.... you can dyno a 4wd car but you have to use a mustang dyno.... a nissan gtr is useless without the 4wd...

  • im gonna go out on a limb and say Jun's R33 is faster..

  • BOOST LOGIC = L.A.M.E.! CAN'T AFFOR An AWD DYNO BOOOOooooooo!

  • it sounds like a space ship

  • Not every dyno was created equal, this one had no place to put the front tire. There for no awd, must have unhooked it. But, by doing so increasing the horsepower because of less mass. It's alot easier to turn two wheels let alone another transfer case and differential. Probably gained 5% on the dyno doing so the numbers are not true numbers.

  • ladies and gentlemen....he did not strip it of it's AWD.....he disconnected the drive shaft to the front tires in order to dyno the thing

  • @pntballfreek why wouldnt he just dyno it on an all wheel drive dyno then?
