@MrFastcars101 I hit the 2002 Mercedes Benz in the middle on the drivers door as they entered Jericho Tpke in Smithtown NY without looking. I had an established right of way my insurance co. says & its 100% the other drivers fault.
It's a shame when bad things happen to good cars, hopefully it's now in the hands of a careful enthusiast and rather than being crushed and recycled into a shitty Prius.
It really did suck, because I also broke my hand on the steering wheel & hurt my neck . But on the bright side I was able to buy a new Corvette with the Ins. money.
god me and my dad need to rebuild the engine in r 88 vette. my uncle screwed up the lower end when he took it for a drive. he called my dad up 20 minutes later and said your cars not running. had to drive all the way from oregon to california to pick him up and bring him back home. only had 1000 miles on a rebuilt engine in my 84 f41 camaro. when my dad took of for the trip i was still putting in the engine
Damn dude... Thats totally awful... I would cry if that happened to me... At least you got a better car though... But the good thing is that you're okay...
I know how you feel I lost my 86 a long time ago to something simalar but my passenger never got out, God rest his soul. A corvette is never dead even in its death it will always be a Corvette.
It was a beautiful car, no doubt. I had a Black 96' vette with some black rims and a full exhaust setup (headers, cats, and mufflers). One of my favorite cars.
why not fix it???? in the uk, we would pull that front end. no problem. 2 weeks work and it would look new again.. dont you do repair work in the usa. such a waste of a vette.
The chassis was bent so bad , It was back more than a foot. Yes they would fix it in the US For $25,000 . The car was not worth that much at that time. It also had 200,000 Miles on it. With a fresh motor though. It was a nice car . You could have bought it for $ 2000 the way it was from the Insurance Co.
yea its definantly looking good to get this lt1. its an auto but the only thing that matters to me is that its a vette. it only has 108,000 miles on it, and alot was replaced on it (suspension, brakes interior) car is showroom quality practically, and its white on white! wish me luck!
That 1992 Corvette had 200,000 miles on it. It ran like new. Totally rebuilt before the accident that took its life. The car wash did hurt it. It scraped the bottom of the car. Car wash's are very bad for Corvettes.
That was a beautiful car, George. Sorry to hear about the wreck, but glad to hear that you weren't seriously injured. Congrats on the 2000 'Vette... the legend lives on. :)
what did you hit man?? im sorry that you saw a great car come and go like that corvettes are my favorite cars.

But yeah, good times.

First thing's first, if anyone runs a Vette through an auto wash they don't need one- or appreciate it anyway. Let's call that Vette Karma...
