Then you look at Controls. HUGE points minus for almost driveing in the pit.
The damage the wheel is minor. Also I think a robot can still count as model because some robots can still fight. It just makes the fight dull. That a robotear can just sit back and whale damige, while the other can only turn into a circle or what not.
Overall I agree....but if ST could not get their wheel fixed. the other team will take their place.
WBC had driven itself into the pit meaning Suicidal Tendencies should have won but then the judges unveiled out of nowhere this rule that a robot with lost drives were technically immobilised. I agreed with the rule I just thought the manner of introducing it was wrong
Let's take a battle where this actually happened...Chaos 2 vs Tornado in Robot Wars Extreme's Challenge Belt. What if, say, that rule didn't exist, Chaos 2 had been clearly limping for the whole battle, then Tornado's failsafe popped out?
For some reason, Dominator 2 seems to be immune to this rule. He's had at least two fights where he's gotten away with having a jammed up wheel.
First of all, this isn't the first "controversial" decision; Napalm vs DD in series 2 was probably the first.
Secondly, I don't think it should have even gone to the judges; technically, RB was in the pit because it couldn't get itself out, not without assistance from Sir K.
I agree with the rule because a robot doesn't have control anymore the thing that annoyed me about the fight between them and WBC in Series 4 is that they waited until ST had won to announce it instead of calling cease or bringing the house robots in or just announcing it over the commentary.
The rule doesn't make any sense. Unless a robot stops moving completely it shouldn't be counted as immobile. With one track broken they didn't stand much of a chance but Raizer Blade did drive into the pit which meant there shouldn't have even been a judges decision here.
i didnt know raizer blade was in series 3, i thought they started in series 4

3:21 i was thinking that would happen
even with busted track it could trick razor blade into coming in for the kill and quicly dodge to send it flying in instead

Raizer blade end up in the pit and brought back to life! omg

I think this is it.
Both robots really didn't cause much damige.

And this was the result of this very fight that caused so much controversy a year later....if you know what I mean.
KillDozer123 3 years ago
Yeah, the judges decided "DUH, how bout we have a rule where if one wheel on a robot is broken, then it is considered imobilized"
Stupid rule. No other robot combat show has it and good riddance.
Headbanger142 3 years ago
To be honest, I actually prefer that rule.

First of all, I never even said it was the first. Re-read what I said...did I ever say it was the first controversial decision? No, I didn't.
Secondly, I would have said Mortis vs Recyclops in S1 was the first.
Thirdly, to this day, I'm not completely sure those were Killalot's intentions.
KillDozer123 3 years ago
OK. I apologize for my misinterpretation.
I suppose the only person who really knew Killalot's intentions was the person who drove him.
