  • What, The Upstairs Room was a b-side to The Walk? Why, in heaven's name, wasn't it the other way around?

  • @InvincibleIronyMan Good question. I think "The Walk" is terrible. Plus it sounds like a total ripoff of New Order.

  • una volta cominciata ad ascoltare questa canzone non puoi più smettere..

  • This is a great song, yes! It wasn't a mini lp just the 12" single of the walk with the fly on the cover. Noticed in the pop up bubbles one of Robert Smith's recurring middle class memes (at least from that period - lost interest in the band not too long after this): if I had a pond for every time he claomed to have had "a breakdown of sorts"... becoming knackered from months on the piss whilst writing the occassional song and applying makeup does not a "breakdown" make!

  • @spankymacfarlan Hilariously put. But hey, his LSD- and booze-induced "breakdowns" created some catchy tunes.

  • OMGOMGOMGOMGOGMOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOGM OOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! IIIII LOOOOOOVE HIM TO DEATH!!!!!!!!!!!! EEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is my jam

  • Had this tune in 1983 in a mini lp ,along with the walk, let's go to bed, lament...the cover was black with an ugly fly on it IIRC. still in love with this song.

  • Steve Nye's production ala Japan is a good addition to the Cure's sound at this stage

  • I LOVE Japanese Whispers album... and this is my favorite track off of it.

  • Hands up if you think this great B-Side should have been released as an A-side instead of the Walk!

  • "We could go up there in summer and dance all night!"

  • Very underrated tune by The Cure indeed. Definitely one of my favourites!

  • I love this song and listening to it SO took me back to my teenage days in the 80s

having a "cure" week this week.

Also love strange day by them.

  • @opiumeyes30 nice. i have some like that but it's called a "Cure" daily.

    I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i love this song i <3 RSX soo much!!!!

  • I disagree with Robert. It deserves to be more than a "B" song.

  • souvenir 83 j'ai toujour le maxi 45 tour cool!!!

  • Production by Steve Nye a la Japan and Tin Drum.....a great song that was on their album The Cure Singles which was like a six track mini LP.....Yes the days of vinyl...the days of hanging around as a Goth....then I grew up....got a job....brought a house etc....BUT hey I still have thick hair...even after years of using masses of hair gel/hair product!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Also i like this song becouse it reflects Robert no need´s anybody to do Music:

No bass; keyboard bass (Simon Gallup no needed)

No drums; drum machine (Lol Tholurst no needed)

Only Robert Smith with his guitar and keyboard... ALONE!!!

  • Its for me one of the rare The Cure's songs that nobody listen too much but for me is great to listen it LOUD in a boring day! It makes me feel happy!!!

  • fitness time

  • I don´t think, I could know , anyone but you dear, that´s for sure

I don´t think, I could love, anyone but you dear, that´s for sure

This is simplicity becoming excellence... try to find these lyrics anywhere in the world today, impossible

  • @Chericsson This "love" and "know is great compatibility. Try listening to "The Top" of The Top album by Cure "all of you" is a fonetic suprise =)

  • As usual an awesome cure's song. It's unbeliveably good. When I listen to it, I can't stop jumping and singing foolishly in my room. I just feel as if I was climbing in the sky touching the stars through my fingers. Lyrics are sober, pure and deep. Great stuff.

  • This is one of the very best songs Robert and The Cure ever wrote and recorded.

I never get tired of listening to it. Very beautifully put together. I got this record back in 88 on vinyl and in 91 on cd. This is one of the essential records to have in your collection. All the songs are very good. Too bad the cure got away frome playing such a pure sound.

  • @galgo3303 amen@!!!!

  • @guysan , Very much so. One of my very all time favorite songs.

It's timeless no matter what decade you were born in. There is nothing better than the than The Cure in that genre. Thanks for the Hi five. Guysan
