  • Chrysler, through their Plymouth division, sponsored "IT'S A GREAT LIFE" from 1954 through '56, 'tom'.

  • Chrysler was offered sponsorship of THE $64,000 QUESTION, but turned it down...the company feared the assembly line workers would demand raises if they saw their employer handing out big cash prizes.

  • After only his first scene in this program I can say that this is the most disturbing character I've ever seen Vincent Price play. Very bold TV fare. Looking forward to finding out now what happens next.

  • Thursday nights at 8:30pm(et) on CBS in the mid-'50s was Chrysler's "big" anthology showcase, "CLIMAX!" (alternating with their monthly "SHOWER OF STARS" variety specials). Here's a "typical" offering from around the start of the 1955-'56 season....
