WOW...... and she isn't anorexic looking.. A full bodied personality in dance! I agree with the commentators... This is a rare glimpse and when she danced at 61 it was also breath taking. A true prima ballerina. This can 't be taught - one either has it or one does not!
maya is perfect!!! like many says she is a true ballerina. perfect in swan lake, perfect in don quixote, perfect in laurencia, in carmen. strong roles as well as lyrical roles were perfect for her!!! not all ballerinas were great in strong roles as well as in lyrical roles. but maya is the exception. we all love you maya!!!!

Maya is a real force in the world of ballet. A unique ballerina with no equal and irrepetible. When you see her dancing, even if you don't know about ballet, you appreciate that she has to be the best. She was like fire and ice at the same time. She could burn you. She is beautiful and in every one of her gesture there was perfection and beauty. I love her as an artist and as a person. I read her memoirs twice, an amazing book. She is a legend in her own time. No one since has done this better than her... and I could care less about all the technique they have. Ballet without this is dry and dull.
