  • sta bien chida me gusta STA CANCION QUE VA se la rifa dir en GREY

  • New to this but I like what I'm hearing even if I can't speak japanese.

  • what is "My beloved with a three bump belly" supposed to mean? jw

  • @luciibabi21 buddha :D

  • @ThePinkSpider69 thanx :)

  • @luciibabi21 It means a pregnant woman with triplets... It's a powerful song against Japan's excessive sexual perversion and consensual sex WITHOUT contraceptives.

  • love the guitar riffs

  • It took a while for this album (Uroboros) to grow on me, but now... damn, it's one of my favorite albums EVER.

  • @0neJay

    Exactly how I feel.

At first, these songs were just like...meh screaming.

Now I feel more like YES AN UROBOROS SONG <3

  • @Olitod

The screaming isn't so indecipherable here as earlier tracks on the record at least. Take doukoku to sarinu which even kyo's japanese is occasionally hard to make out when it's usually the english bits he mutters. (But damn if I don't love that one track to pieces.) x)

It did take me a bit to warm up to some tracks and even one or two I still don't like but I pretty much liked it out the door.

  • So much chills. <3

  • hehehehehehehe great song name... Great song... Great band...

  • i am the BOOGEYMAN!!!

  • The way this man swings so effortlessly from soft singing, anguished screams, and gutteral growls... I'm a bit late for the party, but wow, that's skill.

  • love this complexity :)

  • Man I've been out of the dir en grey loop for way to long...I'm finding all these newer songs...whoa! Love these guys.

  • @TGeigerChannel dude this is kinda old ;p

  • @TGeigerChannel and they just released a new one

  • they're still talented and all...but i like their old stuff much more

  • @MrMigguhjuice I totally freaking agree 100%. I totally respect them and stuff but their old stuff is more my type, but hey, they're still a great band. :)

  • 1:00 to 1:22 is amazing. such a feeling of grandeur.

  • Dir En Grey is the BEST band EVER <3333

  • Great song. Too bad I lost my copy of Urobouros so I gotta rock out on youtube instead.

  • I think this is my new favourite song... yep, definitely. :D

  • long live diru(raises fist in air)

  • @boomdadrf ha cheesy

  • the best band in the world

  • honestly lyrics have often ruined songs for me, that's why I listen to foreign musics. Can't tell what they're saying. And plus Japanese is a much more beautiful language to listen to that english.

  • Wow this song makes me just inmpressed, they might have changed their style, but they're still able to make you cry!!

  • You do not need the wings of an angel to have its shining presence, you do not needs its voice to sing with a voice of the divine, you do not needs its sword in order to cut ones soul nor do you need its halo to prove your mission is pure. Dir en grey, not angels, not devils, but the essence of music. Tune in, turn on, rock out, dream big.

  • Dir En Grey changed their album to appeal to the Americans.

  • another one of Dir En Grey's best, it has a strange title, but the guitar's definitaly make up for it, the dark melodic sound really got me into this song.

  • another one of Dir En Grey's best. i like the vocals in Red Soli better, but the guitars in this song are dark and melodic, and i like that.

  • traiasca rockul

  • Kyo's voice is so goddamn dynamic.

Of course the composition and arrangement is always fantastic, but Kyo's voice is always the first thing to strike me, which is strange because I'm a guitarist.

  • I love the song, although it is extremely hard to follow the lyrics when reading along with it!

  • At first I thought like, well that's a funny name!! Let's hear this song... I changed my mind... THIS IS EVEN BETTER!!

  • Dir en Grey are to unique to be classified as any genre other than Dir en Grey. They're to awesome to be compared with other artists other than themselves. they go deeper than others and touch base on things many wouldn't approve of, and for that they deserve to be in their own genre.Enough said. Nope i lied. LONG LIVE DIRU !!!

  • i LOVE this song XD is so awesome <3

  • I think it's badass that Dir en Grey is one of the first bands to come to america and not change their songs into English.

  • @Clarissa4o9 some songs are in english u just cant tell

  • @nimbalo300 They are known for sticking to their japanese roots to get popular, they didn't have to change any of their songs into english just to get known in America especially the old ones, yes Kyo sings some verses in English but it's not like he makes a whole album in english

  • @Clarissa4o9 ok i said some not all im not saying DIR EN GREY I HATE U COUSE U DONT MAKE WANYSONGS IN ENGLISH no im just stating a fact

  • @nimbalo300 errrrr? why are you acting all defensive I thought we were having a convo?

  • @Clarissa4o9 u were acting like i hated them no i like them since i was 8 and that was 7 years ago

  • @nimbalo300 How was I acting like you hated them? I was just clarifying what I said.

  • @Clarissa4o9 To be fair, a lot of The Marrow Of A Bone is in English. They were definitely trying to get Western (U.S. and European) attention around that time.

  • @ska2808 yeah but they didn't even have to do that to get popular in the us they already were and what I said in my comment is fact it was taking from a biography or a news thing I can't remember

  • @Clarissa4o9 Actually, two of the songs on this very album are in English.

  • @wesleyis16 But when they debuted in the USA none of their songs were in english, thats what I mean. They are still appealing to americans even though they are not singing in english :) I was not talking about this album but their early years in general.

  • @Clarissa4o9

I couldn't agree more, I'm so grateful that American crowds haven't ruined their style. : D

  • I still don't think Visual Kei should be a genre, as it refers more to the way they look and present their music rather than the actual music itself. I think VK may be better used to describe a scene rather than the music itself.

It's like if you had a band that was straight-up death metal, but dressed in a gothic fashion, you shouldn't label their music "goth" unless there's a noticeable gothic element in it.

Visual Kei wouldn't exist without a look, and is meaningless as a genre of music.

  • Dir en Grey isn't considered VK since they don't dress that way anymore. Dir en Grey is definatly something more than VK they have changed the way we look at music forever.

  • ... that was my point.

  • I like their lyrical content

  • gyah, "if love is just something you can get used to, then why be born at all?" i love that line =w=

  • i just saw them live, they were amazing!! this song sounds so much better live

  • i did too, at the fillmore twas quite epic, i basically jizzed

  • Grande canção de um grande album...

  • the song is about that *we* are getting addicted to sex and love.

some of us just make baby's and baby's

and others have another partner every month just for the kick.

  • "My beloved with a three bump belly" makes me think of being pregnant with triplets :P

  • does anyone know what the "three bump belly" refers to? i cant get my head to think of anything but camels x.x

  • Makes me think of pregnancy.

  • This album is amazing. All of their discography is unique and no album sounds quite like the other. I became a fan within the last year and proceeded to purchase each album. I'm glad to say I like them all and I think it's amazing that within ten years they can go from songs such as Yokan to Bugaboo. But....I'd have to say either Uroboros or Kisou is my favorite.

  • Dont forget marrow of a bone!

  • That has some golden tracks too. Like Grief and Disabled Complexes. That was my first Diru album so it's a little more special. :D

  • 2:27 Shinya has a killer drum beat

  • I approve of the new Dir En Grey. So much more musically mature than before, and so much more developed than before. This progression is a sign of a band still going forward and staying strong.

  • I do too, I don't think I would mind much if they stayed at this sound for a bit, I mean it'd be cool if they went heavier, but it doesn't really seem nessecary cuz this sound is just as epic.

I just hope they don't quit for AGES.

  • @Haavvok u r absolutely right man, i mean band that demonstrate that they can preform som many types of styles and can constantly change for the better is a band that keep themselves going with ease.

  • I'm confused, in the 'chorus' of this song in the TOUR08 live version, I swear he growls AND sings at the same time.. its coming from the same mic and doesn't echo so it can't be a backup recording..

Can he really do that? Cuz if he can, it's amazing..

    Maybe I'm hearing wrong...

  • Been there, seen it and yes, he's able to do that.

  • You know people have learnt to breathe in with their nose whilst breathing out with their mouth, so why wouldn't this be possible O.o

  • Comment removed

  • Soo, You'll come to Buck-Tick :) ...

  • I can understand your taste but you have to remember that Dir en Grey is an Experimental band too, so they do what they like and if fans like it then good. They do music to please themselves then the fans not the other way around. but I do like the old upbeat days ^^

  • Of course, you don't have to explain to me. :) I love that diru experiments, and I am always intrested in what they will come out with next. Just giving my opinion on the album is all. Just because I don't like certain aspects of this album doesn't mean I don't like it overall.

  • DOn't generalise, just because it's low doesn't mean its CC vocals, plus I think Kyo does it cuz he's hurt his vocals..

They've actually started to lose their nu metal sound recently, this is much more experimental and I love it. Although I love nu metal too XD

  • When he screams "it killed" I almost fall of my chair.., Everytime.., really good band, song, album and blabla! :)

  • Awesomeness beyond description of mortal words.

  • Do people really expect the band to sound the same after more than a decade?

  • I Love this song ... Kyo's Growl is realy good ( also live )

  • this be a sad song...but i absolutely love it. it truly brings out the despair and sounds really good. just curious why is the sound entitled bugaboo though?

  • im playing this song red soil and obscure at my funeral. some of my fav songs :3 or mabye i will just play all of their music :3

  • bugaboooooooo just sounds great.........

  • half way through i thought kyo sounded like a girl

    No offence

  • I think I know what you mean, at the "...kuwa...reru" part. He does sound pretty breathy there. Must be because he's singing about the girl, LMAO.

I love that part. I used to not process it and get it mixed up with the later "shakunetsu no..." lines.

  • Why did I get those...? I don't really care much, I just didn't deserve those. Bah.

Anyway, gotta say this is my favourite off Uroboros. The end has gotta be among their very greatest!

  • Amazing vocal range.

  • 6 octave nearly 7 it's insane.

  • the first word should be Tesaguri, not esaguri ^_^

  • The uploader fixed it. Hurrah! Thought it'd never happen. =D

  • YAY :)

  • fuck the main stream!

  • mainstream is one word. and yes... fuck it.. i guess. but it serves it's purpose. without the more mainstream band many people would never have found any interest in music. i'm actually somewhat grateful for bands like system of a down and slipknot for introducing me to different forms of music. but i guess i can see what you're saying.. mainstream music does usually suck, so fuck it.

great song! i love this album....

  • haha thank u for the info on mainstream and i think i understand why i got two thumbs down i didnt mean that diru is mainstream ppl!

  • Why does everyone say Dir en grey are? Shouldn't it be Dir en grey is? Just a random thought.

I agree. Dir en grey is so unique they're their own genre.

  • I was thinking and reading some of the people's comments I figured something out. If were to open a music shop I think I would put Diru in their own personal section not under rock, not under metal no their section would just be named DIR EN GREY. :D

  • Visual kei is the genre then theres loads of sub genre such as anguro kei, ero kei, nagayo kei and loads of others and its unique to japan as they made it and i thin k it is a sound as it is a mix of orchestral, rock and electronica/techno and its awesome and dir en grey used to be visual kei and they were as good then as they are now.

  • probs second best song on the album its brilliant

  • I love how they're losing some of their old fan base. I don't they really fit in with the more recent and improved style of Dir En Grey. :D

  • Agreed 100%. The fucking lolitas and weeaboos are giving the band a bad name.

  • amazing囧!

  • I don't like Slipknot that is fact BUT it's thanks to bands like slipknot that Diru is getting big. You may not like Korn but they got them here to the States to do their first US tour. May not like Linkin Park but they invited them to perform for them in Japan. May not like MSI, Deftones...etc. A lot of us do not like ccertain bands but it's thanks to these bands that Diru fans in the US and EU get to see these guys live and now get ot buy CD, DVDs and merch in our local stores.

  • u make alot of sense im glad u can respect something u dont like rather then being a dick or sum more ppl need to be more reasonable like u

  • ehh... i dont know if that's really such a great thing. now we have to share dir en grey with hot topic kids. no offense to any hot topic kids out there, i'm just sort of selfish when it comes to bands that arent very popular. thats' one thing that attracted me to dir en grey, no one else around me knew who they were. it was great. but what ever is best for the band is good for the fans... sort of.

  • I know what you mean :P

  • same here! D: stupid HT kids... :P

  • @Arsinen07 Dir en Grey were HUGE in Asia before expanding to the West; they really didn't need to, they just wanted to. Plus there was huge demand for them over here. They pack out huge arenas in Japan, and are hugely popular among people from all walks of life. You could even consider them mainstream in Asia.

Btw, MSI didn't take them on tour, it was a tour organised by Kerrang! magazine. I'm sure MSI didn't even know about them before that.

  • I think Dir en Grey's new look is awesome like glass skin is awesome. But if they do this constantly they'll be like every other heavy metal band who screams like slipknot etc. So maybe they should bary their album like abit visual kei and the rest heavy metal but i still think Dir en Grey are the best under X-japan!!!

  • Slipknot is NOT Heavy Metal and visual kei isnt really a "sound"

  • If Slipknots not heavy then versailles aint visual kei. Visual kei is unique to japanese music as if you watch the yoshiki global metal video on youtube it says visual kei is a sound and unique. And Dir en Grey Rock!

  • Judas Priest, Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden is heavy metal, Slipknot is more like NU metal.

Visual Kei is an own musical movement, but the uniqueness in it does not come from the sound but from the way they present their music. Visual Kei means visual style or something like that.

Many VK-bands sound to different to be considered to play in the same genre. The only similarity is that they all play rock.

  • that is because vk is not a type of music it is a type of japanese cosplay

  • its not, cosplay is when you dress up to look like somebody else. VK is not about that, its about creating a visual experience together with the music.

  • ahh i feel stupid! thank u though! dont want to be spreading da wrong stuff around!

  • oh yah visual kei does! :D Listen to dir en grey back in the early days and then listen to Luna Sea, while they have very distinct differences listen to how many similarities there r. Then look at other visual kei bands and c if u can here. irregardless of whether U think it's a sound, there's still a visual kei section at japanese CD shops......

and slip knot is Pussy metal

  • Yeah, thats two bands.. But there are so many bands these days and so many different genres of "kei", angura kei, and so on.

I am not saying that VK isnt a genre, Im saying that its not a distinctive sound, and so "unique" that some people claim it too be.

And I hate Slipknot, I just wanted to save his ass from some rabid Judas Priest fan.

  • Aaaagh, I always want to sing along to this but I desperately fail at understanding any of Kyo's english XD

    Still, his vocals are amazing.

This entire song is amazing <3

  • I'm so sick of people who are disrespecting the new Dir en grey. Either respect their new music and style or just leave them alone. Not saying that every fan HAS to like their new music, but seriously, there are so many people out there who admired their Visual Kei era but just totally disrespect them now.

Anyway, BUGABOO is one of my favorite songs from the entire album. :D

Kyo's harmony is AMAZING. And his growling just matches the mood of the song so well. <3

    Long live Diru. <3

  • To LetYourGameSpeak81: you sir suck big hairy balls. I hope that me telling you how much you suck balls will allow you to correct your ball-suck-tasticness

  • my 2n fav XD

    my 1st is stuck man :O <3

  • "My beloved with a three bump belly"???

  • Haha, you gotta love Kyo and his lyrics.

  • i do <3

  • Same

  • I love this album! Diru did a great job.

And I bet Kyo was on something when he names this song, oh wait. He's always on something,

  • Ugh, fans who cannot agree with the elvoving of musical talent of dir en grey I feel are not real fans at all. I can see yes you perfer the older music but you gotta love the new music too.

A band NEEDS DIFFERENT sounds or it just gets boring.

Anyway, I love this song, the english lyrics for this song makes me grin with shameless pleasure. :]

  • You have to remember that not all of the fans out there like the new Diru. It's not a law to dislike some of the songs of your favorite band. At the very least we can always respect their opinion and just continue cheering on Diru.

  • I wasn't trying saying they had to like every song but most people disrespect the band saying they're becoming shit and becoming like American music. and to make myself clear its not every fan that does it but there's quite a few out there I've seen that totally disrespect the band for their new music.

I can see they perfer the older music but at least respect the fact they're evolving.

Some are so desprate to see them in their vk days again but I hardly doubt it would ever happen again.

  • well... I hardly think, I should say, they'd ever do that again.

  • Ah I see what you mean.

  • yeah sorry if I was unclear. ^^;

  • It's alright :P

  • i totally agree this is my 2nd favorite song from them!

  • I really liked this album, personally. It was really heavy, but sensual at the same time. This song is especially interesting.

A lot of people don't like the direction Dir en Grey is going, but I admire them for constantly looking for new things to try. I'm not going to drop them and pretend like I was never a fan just because they want to grow and evolve.

  • Yep, this song kicks ass. Haters beware, lol.

  • i saw Dir En Grey at bristol they were amazing

  • Great Album. Much better than the last two albums. Not fond of this song though.

  • best song on the album

  • i love this album. btw what album is the final on is obscure on the same album as the final

  • its on the album 'withering to death'

  • Final is on W2D Album

    Obscure is on Vulgar Album

  • I don't see how people don't like this song! It's musical genius! I love Toshiya's underlying bass line it's awesome. And Kyo's harmonies are amazing.

To all those people freaking out about this song/album I for 1 am glad that every single album is different. Can you imagine Gauze like music for the last 11 yrs? I would have been bored with them a long time ago. And I'm not ragging on Gauze it's one of my favorite albums.

  • so many retards here... This is an amazing track. If you don't like it go back to masturbating to Gauze.

  • This kind of sounds like the Deftones, anybody wanna debate me about this?

  • I think the growls fit the song pretty well. I looked up the lyrics, and the chorus just seems to be a manifestation of rage. The growling fits in perfectly. It's like Kyo is letting his rage possess him and turn him into an entity of hatred.

  • Seems like Diru are getting quite unpopular.

Hmmm. I love them as much as ever, maybe even more so- you never know what to expect, which is probably why their music always makes such an impression on me.

  • Dunno if it's so much unpopular as falling out of favor with some circles of fans? Just based on the disapproving comments I've read, anyways...

  • binrays i agree with you completly! and i just got the album!

  • Thanks. I'll be getting it shortly, can't wait. n_n

  • I don't know why people are reacting so negatively to this song. I love their old stuff, and true, recently they've been leaning more toward grunge and death metal, but at least they do it well. I think Diru have just taken death metal to a whole new level!

  • i didnt like this much but now i love it,Epic growls in the begining!I love it

  • as much as i respect the old stuff this band has made, this is just the next step the band decided to take with their music. Personally, I love all of their stuff, and while this cd made me do a double take, it grew on me and I love it.

  • Same here. It seems a lot more grown up, in a different sense...

  • when i heard the songs first time i didnt liked it much too but i got used to it and now i love it =D

  • i'm just glad that they didnt over do the growls on uroboros. but that is kyo growling. i saw them live when they came to the u.s. in november and believe me, that little man(no disrespect)can growl.

  • i cant find the lyrics in japanese online.

  • the growling is strange the devil must be taking part in the growling here (but i know its kyo) but wow he can be brutal at times i,m used to the growling now but it does make the songs harder to hear for me anyway. Still uroboros is a good album. Kyo has really come back with his voice.

  • i love this song :D

    and yeah

    it's Kyo growling

lol he sure got some nice set of lungs

  • Who's growling anyway? It's not the lead singer, right?

  • i like it :P
