I use to watch this show back in the eighties, I loved the south london humor, black culture and the various personalities at Desmond barber shop too funny, thank god for youtube..
i genuinely dont have a bloody clue what your on about! i just made a simple comment about i how love stuff from the 80's which makes me different from other teens cos i hate getting stereotyped as a hoodie who's always up to no good and now im getting weird replies who are insulting me and im getting thumbs down just for being a 14 year old with an opinon!!
thankyou if only some people were like you. sometimes im easily offended but normally i try to argue back cos i take after my mum who could argue all day lol
ya know you really need to get a life i werent even talking to you and if your idea of arguing is repeating what i said with a lol on the end then your a sad human being!!
I remember watching this show here in the States on BET. I really wish it was back on here. Does anybody know if Channel 4 will issue licensing for US broadcast? The reason I am asking is because BET haven't shown it for a while and I am curious to know who will broadcast it here.
One of the first Channel 4 shows to prove to skeptics that their 'risk-taking' could be hugely commercially successful. This was probably the 'hippest' UK sitcom during it's lifespan.
To think that if it hadn't been for Norman Beaton's retirement/tragic death in '94 it could have ran and ran and ran. Of all the shows I grew up with I've grown to miss this the most.
I love seeing this again! Thanks. Can you find/post the episode with the lambada dance scene? I think it was the episode where Desmond's sister-in-law brings her younger fiance. Thanks.

Lol, that can be a good trait, use it wisely. How come no one's got full episodes of this show? I haven't seen it syndicated in 8 years. sigh
