A small example of the status of women is Islam: after the Prophet (pbuh) died, the men would would gather every now and then to discuss religious matters and once they've reached a decision, they would go to the Propehet (pbuh)'s wife for approval, and she would either dismiss it or approve it. Jesus saw himself as ONLY God’s prophet (Mark 6:4, Luke 13:33 ) and NEVER rebuked others when he was called so (John 4:19). He NEVER denied being a prophet.
And his contemporaries understood him likewise, as God’s anointed servant and prophet. That is why they praised God (instead of Jesus) for the miracles he performed (Matt 9:8, Acts 2:22 ).
In other words, they distinguished between God the Creator & Jesus, the created being. Both are NEVER synonymous.
Sadly, Xtians are so CONFUSED.

A small example of the status of women is Islam: after the Prophet (pbuh) died, the men would would gather every now and then to discuss religious matters and once they've reached a decision, they would go to the Propehet (pbuh)'s wife for approval, and she would either dismiss it or approve it. We r highly regarded in Islam.

Luke 1:13-17 says According to Angel Gabriel that john will be in the Power and SPIRIT of Elijah.
Jesus also refered to John in the spirit in relation to Malaika 4:5 same way as Luke 1:17.
The Burden of proof is on you to show me where Elijah will appear in Flesh.
Also, Elijah himself appeared in the spirit in the time of Jesus transformation so as to ascend to Heaven.

@zorin85 Since Angel Gabriel was refering to the power and spirt of Elijah in John, he was not refering to Elijah in flesh same thing with Jesus in Matthew 17:2. Matthew 17:12 Elijah has already come and nobody recognised him and have done to him everything they Wished. In the same way the son of Man will suffer at their Hands.
In Matt 17:2 Jesus was only using Elijah as an instance of John who suffered in the hands of the Jews same way he himself will suffer.
Matt 17:11 is in Future.

@Yah: If u still insist that Jesus referred to John as Elijah in the context of him being rejected in Matthew 17:1, it shows Jesus as being MISGUIDED or worse, one who has NOT adequately comprehended Malachi 4:5 which talks about the 2nd coming of the prophet Elijah as a condition for the advent of the Messiah. Since this was NEVER fulfilled, the Jewish people have good reason for REJECTING Jesus & labeling him as the FALSE MESSIAH, as the NT tend to portray him. U only have yourselves to blame.

@Yah: To get refreshed is to provide new vigor & energy by rest, food, etc. It is also to make fresh again; reinvigorate or cheer. Only ordinary humans stand in need of such comforts to continue their daily lives. God Almighty who is PERFECT & BEYOND such limitations does NOT need to undergo such refreshment exercise.
UNFORTUNATELY, the Bible disagrees & makes fun of God by insisting that He "rested & was refreshed" (Ex 31:17) just like ordinary mortal would do. How do u explain this BLASPHEMY?

@zorin85 The hebrew wod used here is ''Shoebat'' meaning to cease or rest. Rest or refreshed in context if the bible does not mean God lost energy and needed food to gain strength. There is noblasphemous comments here becosthe bible uses Human attributes to describe God for better understanding.

Matthew 17:13 The disciples used logic to know Jesus was talking about John the baptist in Matthew 17:12 bcos Jesus was Using Elijah in the likeness of John. So, Jesus did not mean Elijah came in flesh but John was in the Likeness of Elijah.
So, Matt 17:11 refers to Malaika 4:5 to Jesus 2nd coming, the earthly Judgement

Your quran had three codexes. The caliph elelcted the codex from Zaid Ibn Thabit after the death of Muh’d. Muh’d when alive preferred the reciters Ibn Mas'ud & Ibn Ka'b whose Qurans were already in use in Syria & Iraq.
Theirs were collected & burned & Zaids was used. Many verses were lost.
