One of the few reports without Kermit returning the viewer "to your regularly scheduled program" at the end...though I'm surprised that they used the modified Herry for a Big Bad Wolf in such a late sketch. (I could have sworn the purple Big Bad Wolf puppet was around then!)
I remember seeing the scene of Kermit yelling while getting blown off the screen by the big bad wolf with crashing noises in the background on the video, "The Best of Kermit".
Oh ok I heard he retired from the show after 1989 then he died after The Muppets At Walt Disney World, however Steve Whitmire did his puppetry in 1990 but in Sesame Street he didn't preform Kermit until 1993 and then he took over Ernie in 1994
I like the old SS better as well, but I DO like some of the new SS, particularly last season. They still show some classic material on a semi-regular basis, too, mostly 1980s and 1990s skits but they show a few 1970s skits on occasion as well
Yeah, this video is originally from The Netherlands. I recognise the Zeppelin logo at the top and the first frame of the clip shows a lady that appears in the Dutch Sesamestraat.
(Sesamstraat) Although i believe that in the Dutch speaking part of Belgium they show the same sesamestreet productions as in The Netherlands. So, it could be that this is taken from a Belgian channel.
I love the Sesame Street News Flashes with Kermit The Frog....once Kermit spun off into the Muppet Show (which was also awesome), he didn't appear on Sesame Street as often.
BTW, I saw a recent Sesame Street episode with the Big Bad Wolf... he had a more goofy-sounding voice now, which sounded like Marty Robinson performing him. Jerry Nelson will always be the best Big Bad Wolf!
Didn't this skit originally have the News Flash logo? It would've been easier to just use a still frame of it with the music and announcer playing, then fade to this skit.
But anyways, here' ANOTHER Sesame skit with a wolf that looks like Herry Monster!
hahahah...cute cute

Kermit ALWAYS gets it in these reports
Yet, he keeps going after it. What determination
I hope he has good health insurance.

I had vicious, piss-my-pants nightmares from seeing this wolf. For several years, and seeing this I'm realizing I'm still haunted.

Yeah, me too.

I was too young to appreciate the subtle humor, but did anyone else notice that one of the pigs is slightly feminine? LOL

Did anyone notice the big bad wolf is actually Harry Monster with ears and a muzzle added?

I always thought that as a kid, too.

This is from when Steve Whitmire took over cause Kermit's highpitched

No, this is one of Jim Henson's final performances as Kermit. It sounded kinda like Steve Whitmire's Kermit, I have to admit.

Nice job of editing-the video is not from the US, right? (The frame at the beginning gives it away)

The one where the Big Bad Wolf is a bad sport and gets angry whenever he loses a game.

Hehe! the wolf was great in this one.
I don't think that the pigs will like the one about the pigs in a blanket-but I'm sure the wolf will!
glowworm2 5 years ago
A story about pigs in a blanket?! I wonder what plans the wolf has for that one?
culpit 5 years ago
"Pigs in a Blanket" is a pancake with pork sausages cooked into it. So that makes it a very sinister suggestion!
