America just isn't producing enough engineers because they are not spending enough money on secondary education for ALL their citizens. Until they put aside their HUGE egos and address this problem, they will continue to have a skills shortage.
"The situation is getting worse as Qualcomm is having a hard time finding enough talents in the US and is now forced to shop and set-up operations elsewhere, notably in India and Europe."
I can't be sure, but I have the feeling labor is just plain cheaper. "We can't find talent..." That's like saying you can't take a dump because your 'sphincter' isn't visible.
not exactly..if there is a skills shortage wages would go up but instead they are flat..are there shortages in our universities??? no...the problem is employers not hiring them..our corporations want more profit and higher production and the only way their going to accomplish that is moving their operations over to india..nothing wrong our leaders want to make more money but we're paying the price..at least india and pakistan wont kill each-other!!
