@idontsignin No ... the MAN did good. Mr Jackson was 32 years of age at the time of that race in August 1999, and he hadn't been a boy for some considerable time.

Although this great athlete from South Wales was somewhat past the zenith of his very illustrious career by the time of those World Championships - which were held just a few months before the millennium - he was still pretty good ... the best in the world, in fact ! Jacko, you were an amazing athlete.
