Both of my guys love to take a shower. They are 2 years old now and finally shower together; it's cute, they fight for position on the stand and look like drowned rats when they are done.
I put a stand/portable type perch in the shower/tub enclosure. It's close enough to the water so just a bit of the shower stream hits the perch (don't want to drown him). Ernie stays for about 5 minutes. In winter, he showers twice a week, and about 3-4 times a week in the summer.
There are shower perches available at pet supply stores, with suction cups that stick to the wall of the shower enclosure. If you have a textured surface, those won't work. That is why I do it with the stand.
