Consider this. 2011 - 30, yes 30 years after they were 'finished', we can still stand at a lonely ECML crossing and experience the pure and archetypal Deltic experience - minutes of that haunting drone, rising and falling until it explodes past in that famous bellow. Brilliant vid Carl! Was at the foot crossing just up the line,dad was at the other road crossing,we covered all 3 between us lol.
