how mnay batts and how much hp in your electric motor?...gearing? run time?

What is not mentioned here is how long the Edison can run at that speed, or any speed. Lots of electric boats around, but few autonomous ones, none actually. After a short run, they head for the socket for at least as long, usually longer. Solar boats, on the other hand, can be autonomous, charging a small battery bank with solar panels.
